    Bottega Louie

    69 reviews

This place just makes me happy. The restaurant is spacious, its staff is welcoming and everything served is delicious. And if that wasn't enough, it has it's own Patisserie... with macaroons. It's my go-to place for brunch.

    Diddy Riese Cookies

    38 reviews

Cheap cookies and they are good. Worth the drive to come down here when you are driving from san gabriel area. $4 for a dozen of your choice. If you just want something for yourself, you can get an ice cream sandwich and sunday with a cookie for about $2. Can't go wrong but the wait in line is the ...

    Sprinkles Cupcakes

    36 reviews

I tried this place 2c what all the hype is all about.. =) This place is as hyped as Pink Berry is.. Sorry, I really TRIED to like your cupcakes but I couldn't find any really good reason to pay $3.25 per cupcake (it's better to get a dozen $3 for each cupcake)...it wasn't the price that bothered me, but ...

Bay Cities Italian Deli & Bakery

Be a local and stand in line at Bay Cities. Grab sandwiches for the beach or prepared food from the hot deli counter and bring it home for dinner. The fresh bread is a Santa Monica favorite and the cheese section is great. All things Italian. Parking is tough around the lunch hour. Closed on Mondays.

    Urth Caffe

    23 reviews

Every time I'm in LA, this is my go to spot to meet my friends. Each visit, I'm here about 5 times during a 2 week span. I always order a medium, hot, green tea latte and it comes with a cute latte art. The green tea latte is made of matcha green tea. The hot chai tea latte is ...

    Porto's Bakery-Downey

    17 reviews

Pastries and baked goods here are DELICIOUS! And for very reasonable prices too. I came here after a work luncheon with a colleague of mine and neither of us had ever been here, but we heard such good things from a lot of people, so I decided to come here to pick something up for my mom and brothers. They ...

    Mikawaya

I love their mochi ice cream. My favorite flavors are mango, green tea, and vanilla. If you haven't tried it, you should definitely try one for just a dollar!

    Lette macarons

    12 reviews

I've tried 'Lette a few times, and always thought they were decent macarons. In my book, they were number two, coming after Bottega Louie. I've tried some from Irvine, and I've also been to the Pasadena location. I have to say that the one flavor I LOVE from 'Lette that I cannot get from Bottega is the Sweet Wedding Almond. ...

    Amandine Patissiere

    10 reviews

The desserts, pastries and bread here are just DIVINE. I do have to blame them for the 5+ lbs I gained though. My favorites are: chocolate croissants, almond croissants, cakes, banana cream tarts & berry tarts. Unfortunately, they don't have a big selection of cookies. Also, parking can be really hard to find.

    Randy's Donuts

    9 reviews

I've always wanted to see the giant donut landmark so on my last trip to L.A. I finally found Randy's. Oh my, these donuts are CRAZY GOOD. Super soft, fresh and not too sweet -- and not dripping in oil. I ordered half a dozen donuts in different varieties and every single one of them was super duper tasty. Expect ...

Fantastic deli and sweets! They change up their menu all the time, so you can never get bored coming here all the time. The service is excellent and it's in prime location. I recommend the turkey meatloaf sandwich yum!

    85C Bakery Cafe

    10 reviews

I love the bread from here because they are always super fresh. Since they are pretty popular and customers love to buy in bulk, the bread is always constantly being made so the bread bag is often left open so that the heat in the freshly made bread could be let out until bought. I adore every bread I have ...

    Auntie Em's Kitchen

    9 reviews

Great brunches and lunches, made with local and artisanal products. They also have fresh baked goods and a small market of gifts and artisanal foods. Sandwiches are huge and so are portions of everything else. A great laid back vibe unlike many other popular LA brunch places.

I sat inside Susina for FIVE hours once. I loved every minute of it. Their savory foods are just as delicious as their sweet ones.

    Jin Patisserie

    9 reviews

A Patisserie with a Zen Garden, how cool is that? The style of the pastries is European with Asian influences - subtle and delicate. You don't even need to have a sweet tooth to fall in love with this place. The nice lady working there recommended Passion based on my preference and it was indeed exactly what I like. Love ...

Masa of Echo Park Bakery & Cafe

    9 reviews

Deep dish pizza - a rarity in Los Angeles, known for so many different other kinds of pizza- and now I've found a place that does it pretty well. I'm by no means an expert of deep dish- I've had it in Chicago and it's quite tasty, but masa has a delicious pie- which takes 45 minutes to bake. The ...

    Le Pain Quotidien

    7 reviews

This French Coffee Shop/Bakery also has fresh bread and good soups, sandwiches and food. It's very nice to have a refreshing snack on a Sunday afternoon with a friend - or as a shopping break. The shops along Colorado street are fun to browse.

    Dulce Inc

Café Dulce is known for its coffee and pastries. The green tea donut and bacon donut are probably the most unique pastries they have. They are not too sweet, but make for an interesting combo. I personally prefer the green tea donut since it has a cream filling. Try to grab a table outside for some people watching.

    Europane

Delicious sandwiches and obscenely delicious pastries. The seating areas here are surprisingly lovely and well-decorated -- this is not just a bakery. This location is really convenient if you're attending something at the Pasadena Convention Center.
