    Greenwich Village

Greenwich Village, 111 Barrow St, New York, NY 10014, USA
    71 reviews

One of the more attractive neighborhoods in the city. What's not to like about Washington Square Park and mom and pop retail. The proximity to NYU makes things a bit crowded and pulls them down market a but this is a must see in the city.

    Ellis Island

    New York, NY
    62 reviews

Ellis Island was the gateway to America, from the old country for many of today's Americans. During it's hayday, it processed over 12 million immigrants interested in becoming American citizens. Today it serves as a museum, with exhibits, featuring pictures and displays highlighting what things were like when millions of immigrants came through Ellis Island. Very emotional moments, and a ...

    Strawberry Fields Central Park

    29 reviews

Really great and peaceful place. I wanted to see it because I am a Beatles fan. Sadly, there was a huge field trip of student tourists taking individual pics of themselves with the memorial, so I couldn't get a picture. But just visiting was pretty nice!

    The Dakota

1 West 72nd Street, New York, NY, United States
    9 reviews

I lived a block and a half from the Dakota and as such it's the only private residence of which I ever learned the name. Of course the Dakota's main claim to fame is as the longtime home of former Beatle John Lennon. It was out front of this handsome pale stone building with the green roof that John was ...

    Housing Works Bookstore Cafe

126 Crosby Street, New York, NY, United States
    10 reviews

Good coffee, free wifi, and delicious snacks all in the name of a good cause. Okay, so the free wifi is just for your benefit, but the sales of food, drink, and the many used books lining the walls go to benefit the Housing Works charity. I love it almost as much for NOT being Starbucks as for being itself. ...

    Cyclone Rollercoaster

834 Surf Ave, Brooklyn, New York
    9 reviews

The last time I rode this rickety wooden monstrosity was many years ago...but for a roller-coaster not as high, fast, or full of loop da loops as most of today's modern rides I still remember screaming like girl...yet the feeling of thrills vs chills....then going back on again...and screaming like a girl some more!

Times Square, New York, NY 10036

Times Square, New York, NY 10036
    5 reviews

Nice place to enjoy some of the NY sites and take photos. It's a total tourist trap, but who doesn't love the bright lights and the big city? The city has really improved this area and there is more space for pedestrians to walk around and seats to rest your feet and observe the business that is New York City.

If you are looking for a synagogue of international fame, 770 is where it's at. Known by its street address, 770, the location is headquarters to the Chabad-Lubavitch movement led by Rabbi Menachem Schneerson. Still just as alive and bustling as it was then 770 is a hub for Jewish study, prayer and inspiration for Jews and non-jews the world ...

Urban Jungle is a great fitness program. There are awesome people who will motivate you and help you to reach your fitness and weight loss goals. Due to the small size of class, the trainers have the ability to provide individual attention. Landmark Sunshine Cinema

143 East Houston Street, New York, NY 10002, United States
    2 reviews

Not a bad little theater, though the last time I went, the floor was a bit stickier than I remembered...this theater shows a lot of the smaller, "art house" and real indies. I've got fond memories of seeing films here. The snack bar is better than your average movie theater - in addition to regular popcorn, it also offers kettlecorn ...
