The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

The Westin San Diego Gaslamp Quarter

    Hotel Class:
    4
    9 reviews
Excellent! - 85% of guests recommend

The rooms here at the Westin are clean and sharp, and some of them have a great view. The overall feeling is neither too businessy nor too geared towards young people, so it’s a solid bet for whatever it is you’re looking for. This is especially the case if you’re a shopaholic. The hotel is literally right next door to ...

This place is awesome! I'm going back! Now, I'm one of those people who adjusts my expectation based on where I'm going, how much it costs, what I think I should expect, etc. And I knew I should expect a 4 or 5 star experience, but I was also afraid I would get the kind of service that was good, ...

This is a nice place to stay if you are looking to be in the Mission Beach area- a good location basically in the middle of La Jolla and Downtown. The hotel is pretty new and very high class, with a great pool and lounging area. Be aware that this is not on a beach, but on the bay, which ...

    La Valencia Hotel

    La Valencia Hotel

    Hotel Class:

    4 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

If you didn't love the Gaslamp Quarter because of it's somewhat frenzied atmosphere (and there really isn't a lot to do there outside of eating), I'd suggest giving La Jolla a try. The La Valencia is located smack-dab in the middle of what everyone calls 'the village' and La Jolla cove is right down the street. There are dozens of ...

The Britt Scripps Inn is absolutely breathtaking! It’s like sleeping inside of San Diego history. In my opinion it’s one of the coolest places you can stay in the city. All the stained glass is original to the house and all the furnishings are antiques from Victorian times. The chef makes wonderful breakfast with incredibly fresh ingredients, and the appetizer ...

The Westgate is a one-of-a- kind hotel, completed in 1970. It is filled with priceless antiques and appointments one would find in an elegant home. Designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Lobby is noted for its magnificent antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Flemish and French tapestries and Persian carpets. A good place to stay that’s within walking distance of most of the stuff going on downtown, but still not right in the middle of all the shit. Those green hanging things in the lobby are a trip! I’d stay here for sure if the rate was right.
