    Ocean Beach Hotel

    Ocean Beach Hotel

    Hotel Class:

Though the rooms are nothing to write home about, the location of this hotel and the general laid-back ambiance that fits perfectly with OB make me absolutely love this hotel. I could sit on the balcony with the room's windows open for the rest of my life just watching the interesting characters of Ocean Beach go about their day. The ...

Nice shores where to have a walk or taking a snap under the sun. however I was a little impressed in some parts by the enormous quantity of birds, which made some areas a "little dirty". Nice, but surely not the best palce in California!!!

Out on its own, towering in a lush compound right in front of the boat docks in Mission Bay is the Hyatt Regency. This hotel has been here for a long time, but has been remodeled, with the interior in simple but elegant neutral beige tones. The grounds are a little bit like a Hawaiian property with its green plants, ...

Man, what a location! You’re literally crawling distance from the beach. You can sit poolside, order drinks from the Caribbean Room (their bar), and watch all the beautiful tanned and toned Pacific Beach bodies cruise by right in front of you. While I’m not sure exactly what the motif is with regards to design (other than fake plants), it doesn’t ...

A wonderful property. Overlooking Batiquitos lagoon, it is surrounded by nature, with walking and running trails. The staff provides the real four seasons experience, meeting and exceeding every expectation. The rooms (especially the suites) are sized perfectly, with lots of room to relax. Gyms, pools and areas to lounge make this a destination by itself.

I really like the Kimpton line of hotels -- they're not super expensive (they have a range of prices, depending on location of the hotel of course) and they're all pretty nice. Sign up for Kimpton InTouch (rewards program); they send you 20% off for any booking on a hotel during your birthday month! That's what I did for this ...

Really pretty hotel and they give a complimentary Yoga DVD as well! Initially I had a regular room with queen sized bed but because wi-fi didn't work in that particular room, they upgraded me to suite. YES, PLEASE. The suite had a king sized bed along with a "living room area" so it was more spacious and a better view ...

We are fans of the Hilton Franchise. Doubletree, I think, gives the best value of the chain, all the Hilton standards at an actual reasonable price (at times, less than $100 a night). We also have the advantage of being Gold members of the Hilton awards through my job (HP), hard to complain about anything here, both as a chain ...

I didn’t know what to expect when heading to Humphrey’s. I’ve heard of the occasional concert there, but they tend to be the one or two members of a band popular in the 70s types. I was pleasantly surprised by the updated tropical theme, and especially the winding pathways and dense foliage on the grounds. I loved the larger than ...

Very clean hotel and helpful staff. Improving this hotel would be to make it more quiet. Cars and the garbage truck can be heard easily. Oh, a more spacious parking garage would also help.

What a lovely bed and breakfast. The food was superb, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the house is beautiful. Plus the inn is on a really mellow street so there’s not too much mayhem or too many loud noises to bother you. I can’t wait to come back!

Pretty mediocre experience. They lost our reservation, it took them a couple of hours to get us into a room, it took over an hour to get room service on the phone, room service delivery is very sloooooow, etc. On the positive side, my children like the hotel (particularly, the kids pool).
