    Pala Casino Resort and Spa

    Pala Casino Resort and Spa

    4.5
    6 reviews

Pala Casino has a wonderful outdoor theater venue, and a wide variety of food options, but the best is the Oak Room restaurant. Very high-end; contemporary decor, great food and drink lists, and although servers were friendly it was a little slow.

    Park Hyatt Aviara Resort

This place is awesome! I'm going back! Now, I'm one of those people who adjusts my expectation based on where I'm going, how much it costs, what I think I should expect, etc. And I knew I should expect a 4 or 5 star experience, but I was also afraid I would get the kind of service that was good, ...

    Ocean Beach Hotel

    Hotel Class:

Though the rooms are nothing to write home about, the location of this hotel and the general laid-back ambiance that fits perfectly with OB make me absolutely love this hotel. I could sit on the balcony with the room's windows open for the rest of my life just watching the interesting characters of Ocean Beach go about their day. The ...

Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina

Out on its own, towering in a lush compound right in front of the boat docks in Mission Bay is the Hyatt Regency. This hotel has been here for a long time, but has been remodeled, with the interior in simple but elegant neutral beige tones. The grounds are a little bit like a Hawaiian property with its green plants, ...

    Pacific Terrace Hotel

    Pacific Terrace Hotel

    Hotel Class:

Man, what a location! You’re literally crawling distance from the beach. You can sit poolside, order drinks from the Caribbean Room (their bar), and watch all the beautiful tanned and toned Pacific Beach bodies cruise by right in front of you. While I’m not sure exactly what the motif is with regards to design (other than fake plants), it doesn’t ...

Great location about a half hour north of San Diego, which means closer to the winelands, outlet shopping and surfing at Solana Beach. The rooms are spotless and wonderfully decorated, the pools have comfortable chairs, great food and very often some afternoon smoothie surprises!

The Horton Grand Hotel and Suites

    Hotel Class:

Downtown San Diego, despite the city's reputation for being laid-back and "chill" (we all say "awesome" and "sweet, dude"), can be a bit intense with all the one-way streets, hordes of pedestrians, and heavy traffic. So when I arrived at the Horton Grand after circling for ten minutes trying to find parking and not run anybody over, I was rather ...

**AWESOME SERVICE BUT SO-SO ROOMS** We stayed here for Comic Con for $179 a night. Valet parking is $30 a night. We stayed in room #326 which faced the Grey Hound station. Unlike previous reviews, the buses were not loud and we slept soundly. The queen room is small, but not tiny. The queen bed was short, our feet dangled, ...

    Doubletree Hotel San Diego/Del Mar

We are fans of the Hilton Franchise. Doubletree, I think, gives the best value of the chain, all the Hilton standards at an actual reasonable price (at times, less than $100 a night). We also have the advantage of being Gold members of the Hilton awards through my job (HP), hard to complain about anything here, both as a chain ...

I didn’t know what to expect when heading to Humphrey’s. I’ve heard of the occasional concert there, but they tend to be the one or two members of a band popular in the 70s types. I was pleasantly surprised by the updated tropical theme, and especially the winding pathways and dense foliage on the grounds. I loved the larger than ...
