    Mission San Luis Rey

This mission is humble and beautiful. The church is covered in simple but beautiful designs. The artwork is amazing. The cemetery is rich with history, and the wind chimes make the space magical. My great aunt took me there as a child, and she is buried there now. It was one of her favorite places, and it remains one of ...

    Torrey Pines State Reserve

    6 reviews

No filter added, this is my spot where I meditate and do my morning yoga at the end of my hike. When I finish this, I do the last 5 minutes of the hike that ends at the beach where I then go cool off in the water. One of my all time favorite spots.

    Quail Botanical Gardens

Quail Botanical Gardens was so much fun to visit. I am a nature lover and this is a great place to experience it. There was so much variety from fruit orchards, a rose garden, and different habitats: desert. tropical, forest-like, and so-forth. I was lucky and was let in for free. Also great for children and a nice place to ...

This quite peaceful garden maybe the top secret (but not so secret) spot in SD County. It over looks Swami's beach in Encinitas. So many locals seem to have never heard of it. Growing up in Encinitas, I can tell you it's one of the best places on earth. The koi pond is a wonderful place to sit and think. ...

    La Jolla Shores

One of my favorite beaches in San Diego. A wide, mile-long beach with soft sand, clean water and gentle waves, La Jolla Shores is an ideal spot for families, sunbathers and beginner surfers. The beach is cozy and comfortable, with a playground and grassy picnic areas at the adjacent Kellogg Park. It is consistently ranked as one of the best ...

    Carlsbad Village

    13 reviews

Carlsbad Village is the quaint downtown section of Carlsbad that hugs the Pacific Ocean coastline. It's best to park your car in the village, and set out on foot. There are antique shops, art galleriers, boutiques for men, women, and children, clothing stores, restaurants and a terrific ambiance that is difficult to put into words.
