    Athens 11742, Greece
    99 reviews

The greatest bulding ever built by the Atheneans, majestic and HUGE! It's to bad it's in such poor state. Guide told us that after Athens was invaded the Parthenon was used as gunpowder storage... naturally, and explosion eventually happened and as a result it was severely damaged.

Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, Athens 105 58 Greece
    114 reviews

Add a bucket-load of history to your proposal here in romantic Athens, Greece, at the breathtakingly stunning Acropolis. Don't go for the cheesy shot in front of the crowds, but find a quiet picnic spot as you wind your way up to the knee-trembling climax that is the Parthenon.

    Samariá Gorge, Sfakia 73011, Greece

I have done the hike years ago, in spring, when the sun was not burning too hot. We hiked it(with full backpacks) from the sea to the top, which is the opposite of what most people do. But i enjoyed it more. It was not really challenging or difficult, just a good hike. The scenery is great, the views very ...

    Chania Crete

52 Scylla Road, Oyster Bay NSW, Australia
    10 reviews

The second largest city on the island of Crete is my favorite!! The town has historical interest, the restaurants are plentiful, great hotels and a nightlife as good as anyplace else in Europe. Make sure you rent a car and drive around the local suburbs and villages. Culture shock in a good way.

    Paleokastritsa, Greece

A great hike to and from this historic fortress that served as watchtower to all movement along the Adriatic. It's grounds are being restored but are easily accessed and leave one with the sense that building a mountain on mountain CAN BE DONE!

    Fira Port

    11 reviews

This port is so small! When you arrive you must either have per-arranged a transfer, scooter, or get a car rental. There are about 5 stores and a ticket window. You can't get lost and from there it's a long winding road up the mountain. The views are breathtaking!

    George's Place

    Skala (Patmos), Greece
    2 reviews

Lazy days on the beach start with a cappuccino at George's Place. Lunchtime it has to be the chicken pie. Late afternoon as the sun is starting to go down it's time for a thirst quenching beer. All the staff are very friendly and the food is always fantastic. All our family LOVE George's Place.
