- Greenbrier InnSep 13, 2013
It would be no easy feat to find accommodations with more of a Vermont feel than at the Greenbrier. Immediately upon entering the hotel, I was awestruck with the beautiful decor and homey feel of this family owned and operated lodge. With eye-catching artwork adorning the walls and tasteful nicknacks at every turn, I was truly made to feel at home. The front of the Inn is actually a gift shop, housing all kinds of great items for travelers wanting to take home a piece of Vermont. The rooms connect, which would be great for vacationing families, and the seasonal outdoor pool helps keep everyone cool in the summer. Combining both the quaintness of a bed & breakfast with the amenities of a large hotel, the Greenbrier has it all.Recommended for

The second you walk into the Greenbrier Inn, you are greeted with a distinct pine scent that fills you with warm holiday memories, even though Christmas may be long gone. As you approach the front desk in the lobby, there is a full plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies, free for guests. It’s clear that the Inn is owned and operated by family, and they strive to warmly greet their guests as if to welcome them home.
There is a deck in each room overlooking the gorgeous property, which used to be an apple orchard. There is a great 1.5 mile loop for snow shoeing, or hiking in the winter.
The Inn may appear to be near the busy street, but the rooms are actually further back from the road and quiet. The Inn also operates the gift shop in front of the rooms, which offers plenty of Vermont trinkets and souvenirs to take home.

Greenbrier Inn is a gorgeous and festive place right on Killington Road. The Inn is set back from the road, tucked in behind the huge Greenbrier gift shop which is a pine-scented emporium of Vermont-related merchandise. The Inn has 21 guest rooms, all cozily furnished with country-style quilts and wood paneling. The whole Inn is meticulously clean, warm and welcoming. Home-made cookies in the lobby are always a nice touch. All of the guest rooms are the same size, and are spacious enough for two Queen-sized beds and plenty of room to hang out in the evenings. Ground-floor rooms have outdoor decks overlooking the Inn’s property. A former apple orchard and farm, the scenery is typical Vermont countryside and a really gorgeous setting for a vacation. The Inn maintains a 1.5-mile snowshoeing trail through the woods, which is great for hiking in the warmer months.
