I really like Greenwich Village. I spent quite a lot of time here during my most recent trip to NYC. It has a more neighborhood-y feel compared to most of New York City. Good restaurants and cute boutiques are all over this area!

Gay is the heart of Greenwich Village and yet again another destination that gays from the wider world seek to immerse themselves in. Well I certainly did. I loved it. It is so gay, it is so tough, it is so diverse, it really has something for everyone. I sat in one caberet bar...where I would usually pull my hair out...instead I got incredibly drunk watching Broadway musical actors show off their singing talents, before getting up and trying myself...as I forgot all the words. Yet they still clapped for my performance.
During the day it is laid back and thoroughly enjoyable and it just all feels very iconic...Recommended for:LGBT

The neighborhood where revolutions are born, artists and muses congregate, and every other day is a Neo renaissance fair or parade. I have been blessed to live in this glorious hub for the past 2 years and will always remember the dream-like days of wandering these streets. La vie boheme!

Greenwich Village is awesome. It's filled with cafes, restaurants, clothing boutiques, and other cute little shops aligned along tree lined paths. When I think of the song "Autumn in New York," I think of the Greenwich Village due to its scenic urban landscape.
