Great! Smart, good cocktails and entertainingly camp. Can't go wrong on 40th or hen night! People watching is not to be beat, and the staff is friendly if not as well plugged in with reception as you might want.

This is a fantastic cocktail bar with a real pride in the product they deliver. I cannot recommend the house martini (if you like them). It is a real work of theatre and a sensory experience. I also had the bloody maria which was also excellent. Expensive but worth it.

This is a Mayfair institution, one of the first private members clubs in London to really go big time in the 80s and 90s. I can't speak for its current clientele since I was there for a pre-wedding reception, but the decor is great fun, the cocktails are stupendous and the dance floor about perfect. Go if you have the ...

Piccadilly Circus was a site of constant activity!!! People and shops everywhere, amid the hustle and bustle of the market square and shopping area. Especially prolific were small boutique stores and tiny eateries. Exciting place to visit and shop around.

I'd forgotten how much I like this place with its outdoor seating area. Out of season, it's not too heavily touristed and the nachos and wings are good. It's catering to well-heeled Americans in London, but that's not exactly a crime. Beautiful old coaching inn.

Posh department store in Piccadilly Central London with some good eateries and lots of overpriced merchandise. It's a convenient place to go for lunch and has a branch store in St Pancras station if you need that sort of thing.

    Artesian Bar

0.77 mi from Grosvenor House Hotel

The Artesian is a benchmark London hotel bar; somewhere you’ll be pleased to meet your high class escort for an aperitif. With vast chandeliers, decadent seating and a colonial / oriental vibe, this is probably one of London's prettiest bars. They have a huge cocktail list, but technically they're a rum bar, their rum ambassador (who doesn't have one?) has ...

Laduree is known for its macarons. They're really the ones who put macarons on the foodie obsession map. The Burlington Arcade location is good for a quick stop before jewelry shopping or hitting the Royal Academy, and is a much better bet than the Costas, Prets and Neros along Piccadilly for a takeaway coffee.

The rice was nice enough and seats comfortable. We spent a lot of time in traffic but having wifi on the bus was a MAJOR plus. The ride was longer than it was supposed to be but we barely noticed with the view and playing catchup on our phones. Plug-ins on our bus as well.

Changing the Guard at Buckingham Palace

0.78 mi from Grosvenor House Hotel

We watched the Buckingham Palace "Changing of the Guard" and it's much more than a handful of soldiers replacing another handful of soldiers. It's full of traditional British pomp and pageantry, with drums and brass instruments a blazing. It is an amazing experience that one will long remember!
