Live there. Great island! Should you wish to visit Guadeloupe: stay at Langley Resort Hotel Fort Royal Guadeloupe, which is situated in the most natural part of Guadeloupe: Deshaies. It is also close to the Jardin Botanique (only a 8 to 10 minute drive) and you can easily access the waterfalls by car which are just a 40 minute drive. Langley Resort Hotel Fort Royal Guadeloupe is the only hotel in Deshaies which is situated directly on the beach. They have their own Sail & Surf Club too. They have just received the Certificate of Excellence by Tripadvisor for 2012 and on Booking.com they have one of the highest guest satisfaction ratings of all hotels on Guadeloupe. For couples, groups and families, this is a great resort to stay at and explore Guadeloupe. The hotel's excursion team can help you explore Guadeloupe in many ways: from traditional to the more radical explorations! A car rental desk is also present. www.fortroyal.eu
Langley Resort Hôtel Fort Royal Guadeloupe offers B&B, half.board and all-inclusive packages!
Their Restaurant 'Le Royal', their Beach bar and Sail & Surf Club are also available for non-resident guests.

Guadeloupe is a beautiful island, witha a crazy nature, big forests, a vulcano, many water bodies, natural pools..... I felt in love with Guadeloupe as soon as I landed there. Every beach is unique... you can find from white to black sand. Villages are so small an quite. Some places are even misterious. Food is something fantastic and lifestyle on the island is something everybody dreams of. My favourite beach is Grande Anse in Desaies..... wow. Also the islands around are fantastic, especially Les Saintes, both Terre de Bas and Terre de Haut. Guadeloupe is famous also for cocoa plantations and rhum. The offical drink is T punch, a mix of rhum, brown sugar and lime.... we spent many hours looking at the sea while sipping our T punch. Old women, along the streets sells a kind of local ice cream i'm still dreaming of. I suggets anybody to go!!!
