    The Westin Resort Guam

    The Westin Resort Guam

    Class:
    5 reviews

Right at the bottom of the hill when you first drive down to Tumon's tourist strip. Spa on the ground level, right across a seafood restaurant. The two are divided by a little waterfall. Head out the adjacent doors to the pool, and just beyond that, the beach.

After hearing so many negative stories about Guam, I was positively surprised by the Hyatt and the beach in Tumon. The Hyatt is an older building (like most of the hotels in Guam) but has done a good job of refurbishing the lobby and rooms. We found the lobby and room quality to be in line with some of he ...

Waterpark and event venue all in one. A little farther from the main strip, but you're never really far from anywhere on Guam.

    Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort

    Sheraton Laguna Guam Resort

    Class:
    2 reviews

Huge expanse of water/waterfalls in addition to the pool area. One area of water cascades into the next. Poolside, it looks the water falls right into the beach. Has a popular restaurant, La Cascata, that's poolside and adjacent to the spa. Used to have lots of goldfish around...guess not any longer. Popular venue for grad parties/wedding receptions, I think.

    Pacific Islands Club Guam

    Pacific Islands Club Guam

    Class:
    2 reviews

Waterpark! This is where all the youth like to host their birthday parties. Lots of water diversions. Trying to get across those floating squares you see in all the movies with training ninjas will take up a chunk of time. Hehe. Then there are the requisite water slides, but probably a little less exciting than the mini lake where you ...

Wide, open, airy space overlooking the water...think Agora style. Little waterpark, but not bad. Spa downstairs near the pool - perhaps my fave one on Guam. It's at the end of the Tumon hotel strip, but it's not a far walk to the busier area. Has its own chapel with a view, and it's near the less crowded Gun Beach.

Popular for weddings and proms -- has a chapel, outdoor gazebos, and roomy ballrooms. They even have a reputed hair/makeup salon for weddings and stuff. Just a few steps down to Ypao beach. Has a spa with fab views. Cliffside and chapel overlook the water. Annual train display during the holidays. A variety of restaurants -- mostly seafood, of course.

    Alupang Beach Tower

    Alupang Beach Tower

    1 review

Far from the main tourist/hotel strip in Tumon, but convenient if you're doing business in Agana or Sinajana and want a hotel close by. Has a quaint little restaurant called Esmeralda. People go canoeing around here, but perhaps not the best place for that since the water is a little more isolated from the usual beaches and witnesses in the ...

Haven't stayed overnight, but there's a restaurant there called Corridos that's a common place for hosting low-key parties/family gatherings, like for small birthdays or graduations.
