Gyeongbokgung was originally built during Korea's Joseon dynasty, first meant to house King Taejo. The original was destroyed by the Japanese, but the palace and the grounds have been restored beautifully. Today, the palace sits just to the west of the lovely Seochon neighborhood, north of Insadong, and near the historical Bukchon neighborhood. It's proximity to these places, as well ...

Newly refurbished and still just as amazing vegan restaurant run by well-known Seoul vegan bloggite. You can really feel the personal attention and care devoted to this tiny, vegan mecca. They offer a choice of two dishes and a range of vegan cakes, changing the savoury menu every week so you’re always left wanting more! I love anything they make ...

Jacoby's Burger serves high-quality, Australian Wagyu beef burgers. Prices run around 10,000-15,000 Won for a burger. The burger quality is the best I've had in Seoul.

One of the best place to get coffee in Hongdae area. Little bit pricy but that's just price of coffee in Seoul. Great place to work - cozy atmosphere, and they have big wooden desks, pretty comfortable. Wifi also works great. Went there with a few of my travel blogger friends, and they liked it as well. Staff is really ...

Agra is near Burger King and What the Book on the main drag of Itaewon. It's underground and has an upscale atmosphere, so it would be good for a date. More importantly, it has the best paneer butter masala I have found so far in South Korea. It's a bit expensive, but worth it.

Everytime I go here I feel like I get genuine personal service. If you’re a new customer the owner will make sure to come and speak to you, find out about you and explain the menu. Its corn tortilla tacos are the best I’ve ever eaten and they can cater for veggies and vegans. It’s a good place to grab ...

Burger B is a really fantastic burger place, one of the best in Seoul for sure. The meat quality is good but the topping quality is heavenly - there are burgers with truffle aioli, ones with pesto... mmm.

It is a good place for a small group of people. You can rent the room for the gathering, seminar and study group. It is more of a community than just a normal coffee shop. There are interesting programs each week. Like they said, this is a place for the innovators.

Never knew there were that many pastries, cakes, cookies and finger foods that could be made! And boy are Korean pastry chefs creative. This picture does not do justice to the creative and number of pastries in this place. Truly beautiful and delicious! This place is tucked away in what looks like a corporate building. What a hidden baked goods ...

Tucked away in Dongdaemun's Russian neighborhood is a fantastic Uzbeki restaurant, Samarkand. Having spent many a joyful occasion at Samarkand, I can say with great confidence that it is one of the best non-Korean food choices near Dongdaemun. Absolute must-orders include: beef shashlik, flaky samsas (flaky pastry stuffed with ground meat), the pelmini (mini Uzbeki dumplings), and the garlic brined ...

Like many traditional kimbap and stew restaurants in Korea (known as "kimbap jongkuks), this eatery near Gongdeok Station on line 6, does not appear to have a name. The Korean words all over the window outside are actually the names of different dishes available inside. Despite its lack of name, this seemingly typical kimbap jongkuk serves up some of the ...

Koreans take their meat very seriously - unfortunately that also includes the type that used to go woof-woof - but if you can overcome that this is the place to head to if you're a hardened carnivore. And if you're not, you'll certainly feel your arteries hardening after a meal at this temple to all things meaty. It's one of ...

What can a girl say about Samarkand? More importantly, what can a girl remember after approximately seven shashlik and the better portion of a bottle of Russian vodka? Samarkand is a place for people who like to eat and drink, and like to do so over the course of several hours and several, well, courses. Hidden down an alley in ...

A new discovery for me, though it’s been around a while. It’s the closest to authentic Vietnamese food I’ve found in Seoul. Little more than a hole-in-the-wall with only a few tables, but beautifully decorated with Vietnamese hat lanterns, they will make their fresh spring rolls veggie if you ask and they do a wicked Mushroom Vermicelli Salad too.

Homey, fusion cafe. I love coming here to meet people or just to work as they have comfy cushions and plentiful plug sockets. They only offer a handful of main dishes but they are all tasty. Korea Ginseng Chicken Soup is an "old timer" ginseng establishment that is popular with both locals and visitors. They offer choices of both black and white chicken with different types of ginsengs and add ons. Ginseng Chicken Soup is a representative Korea dish and KGCS is a great choice to enjoy this famous local soup.
