Ended up here randomly not knowing it was such a well-known spot. My friend was thoroughly impressed! We had the taste of hakkasan menu which was perfect in that you didn't feel overly full at the end, but happily sated. The Chilean seabass in honey was the highlight for me--absolutely succulent fish. Would go back in a heartbeat!Recommended for:Foodies

My favorite restaurant in London, hands down. Every dish is beautifully presented and very tasty. The atmosphere is super hip, with high ceilings, lacquered wood and lighting that makes it feel intimate even when the place is packed. And the cocktails are great as well. Definitely get a reservation, though, as they fill up weeks in advance.

Chic Chinese restaurant in a subterrean setting behind Tottenham Court Road. Great bar and lounge area. Innovative cociktails. Fantastic dim sum If you cannot get a table, come for the appetizers and cocktails.

15/20; Food: 8/10, Ambience 4/5, Service 3/5. Down a dingy alleyway and down some funky steps is the original Hakkasan. Food is very good, no doubt. Early stalwart in Asian fusion and still very popular. Decor is funky opium den meets basement meets buzzing restaurant. Bit too noisy to have a proper conversation, which I find irritating, but otherwise great. Service can be a bit stretched at busier times. Tip: try the newer, better outpost in Mayfair.

A chi-chi Chinese restaurant in Bloomsbury. Every once in a while there's a celebrity sighting here. Located in a basement, you walk down and enter a dark, intimate open space, sectioned by wooden asian designed room dividers. The food and cocktails are good, if a bit americanized (or in this case british-ified). Expensive for Chinese, like how you can get really expensive Indian (or awesome inexpensive Indian) in London.

Best Restaurant I have been so far. It is something very special. The atmosphere, the food and the drinks are unbelivable! It is an asian fusion kitchen. Best, best best! You do have to reserve 2 weeks in advance to get a table though!

An underground hidden treasure with a lively & trendy atmosphere. Hakkasan serves good Asian fusion flavors along with an impressive wine selection. The bar serves the best cocktails in town to its selective guests that gather in every evening. The service is standard, though rigid at times. It is possibly one of the 'restaurant landmarks' of London!Recommended for:Trendsters
