The old town clock is one the most prominent landmarks in Halifax. Apart from it 'just being a clock', it has a rich history behind it. Though there is not much to see here other than the structure but as you are probably going to the Citadel this is a good place to stop and rest.Recommended for:

The Town Clock is a three storey, irregular octagon tower atop a one storey white clapboard of Palladian characteristics. The clock face is four-sided and it displays Roman numerals. It has been keeping time since 1803 and its mechanism is wound twice weekly.
