I'm a sucker for friendly staff, and the two people that helped me here were great. The lobby has a fresh feel. The pool is pretty standard, but nice and clean. And the small cafe area is nice. It feels like it may have been recently remodeled.Recommended for:

For the price, this hotel is not the best option in the neighborhood, it is among the more expensive and possibly least luxurious. The amenities are standard of what should be expected of a hotel at this rate: free breakfast, wifi, cable, 24-hour workout facility and an outdoor swimming pool. The rooms are a little crammed and it doesn’t seem like everything quite fits where it’s supposed to. The mini-fridge and microwave crowd the chair against the wall, the TV is fairly small and the beds are lumpy. I do know that some rooms have a sleeper couch which is nice. This hotel is conveniently located on the highway near the airport, or a quick step away from the highway heading downtown. This hotel’s location is it’s best and most unique quality.Recommended for:

This is a respectable, comfortable option for business travelers or anyone who appreciates the convenient location off of South Interstate 35, just a five minute drive from downtown and ten minutes from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Accessibility is an obvious highlight, along with clean and spacious guest rooms, a complimentary continental breakfast and a friendly staff. Not for Austin visitors who want to stay in the heart of the action in pedestrian-friendly tourist areas, like South Congress or downtown.Recommended for:

The Hampton Inn is a tall, six story building located off of highway 35. The lobby is very welcoming with bright lighting throughout. The main area has a tall, long business table with ten high chairs and several cushioned chairs surrounding. Across the lobby is the dining area where complimentary breakfast is served in the a.m. and free WIFI can be enjoyed throughout the Inn. The rooms consist of a bed, a pull-out couch, a flat screen TV, a business desk, a small refrigerator, microwave, and bureau. The bathroom is fairly standard with shelving units below the sink for extra storage. The pool is outside, but out near the open highway so it tends to be noisy, and the fitness room is located inside. The Hampton Inn appears to be an average stay.
