This beach has one of the most beautiful scenery in the world. It is also a great place to snorkel in the summer. Parking can be a challenge, so we park at Haena State Beach and walk up the beach to Tunnels. Surf can be very large in the winter, so never turn your back to the ocean :)

One of my favorite spots on the Island, gorgeous spot with clear water where you can take surfing lessons or just enjoy being there, no place like it. The entire Hanalei Bay is ringed with a white sand beach. The surrounding mountains embrace this bay and, in the early morning when the ocean is like glass, it mirrors the beauty ...

A rugged 12-mile trail along the lush green cliffs of the Napali Coast. Hikers can go to the first beach along the trail as a day hike. Views are dazzling! Permits required beyond that point. A worthwhile venture for the physically fit, but be sure to wear sturdy shoes, take plenty of water and bug dope, and be aware of ...

See our Ke'e Beach review. Well worth seeing but traffic can be frustrating. Get there early or later in the day. Never swim if no one is in the water.

If you want to go stand-up paddling or kayaking along the rivers and nature preserves around Hanalei Bay, rent your gear here. They also do guided kayak trips up the Na Pali Coast during summer. One of the biggest and longest-running paddling outfitters on the island, their staff are usually local experts, though sometimes customer service is rushed.

Kalalau Beach is where you will end if you hike the 11-mile trail, or kayak along the Napali Coast. It's a long beach with trees, campsites, caves, streams, waterfall, and small hike trails into the valley. My friends and I kayaked from Haena Pt to here, and camped for 3 nights. We had a lot of fun, cooking, toasting marshmellows, ...
