This beach has one of the most beautiful scenery in the world. It is also a great place to snorkel in the summer. Parking can be a challenge, so we park at Haena State Beach and walk up the beach to Tunnels. Surf can be very large in the winter, so never turn your back to the ocean :)

The 11-mile Kalalau Trail is one of the most popular activity/adventure on Kauai. The trail starts at Hanalei and ends at Kalalau Beach. Inside the valley, there are streams with small fishes, hikes to pools of water and little waterfalls, and lots of fruit trees along the way.

Can be accessed by traversing some jagged rocky shoreline for a while. Looks a bit sketch at high tide, but otherwise a scenic place to play.

One of my top five beaches on the island. Be careful in the winter as the swells can be large and current strong I recommend sticking to the sand. In the summer its a great beach to swim around, snorkel, jump off the rocks, or just enjoy the amazing view while soaking in the sun
