I am new to the whole New Orleans snowball craze, and boy was I in for a surprise. When I heard about what exactly a New Orleans snowball is (you can get amazing toppings like sweet condensed milk, ice-cream, and other toppings) I kind of was skeptical...I didn't see condensed milk being good on tart and delicious snow cones. But BOY was I wrong. I got my snowball with vanilla ice-cream in the middle, wild cherry flavor syrup, sweet condensed milk dribbled over it, and a cherry to top it all off. I was instantly extremely jealous that my best friend lives in New Orleans and I don't, and I immediately regretted being alive for 24 years without knowing the wonder of this creation. This location also was a treat, and is very old school with signs and menus that probably have been up for decades (I was laughing that they spelt coconut with an a, and don't bother to change it). The snowball queen who served me was a bit rude, but I forgive her because the line was out the door. I would come back to New Orleans just for a Hansen's Sno-ball!!

Been here a few times and always got something different--all of which were delicious. The ice is really fluffy, not crunchy, so it really does feel like you're eating snow. Try the hot rod (snowball with ice cream in the middle) or something with marshmallow on top! Trust me, it's delicious. Definitely one of the top places to get a REAL New Orleans style snowball.
