Hapuna Beach is our absolute favorite on the Big Island. White soft sand and very beautiful. Hapuna has lifeguards, restrooms, and a snack shack. You can also walk over to the Hapuna Prince Hotel and enjoy and a nice lunch and cocktails in their outside eating area. Great views of the ocean too!

The beach about 30 minutes from us and is adjacent to Mauna Kea resort. The Big Island is not surrounded by sandy beaches, yet this beach is one of the best on the islands. It is one of few beaches with fine white sand. The beach is 1/2 mile long and almost 200 feet wide during the summer months. It slopes nicely for swimmers of all ages and the wave action is mild. There is one rock outcropping an you can often tine turtles on the back side.Recommended for:

A favorite white sandy beach for the family. There are little tree cover so an umbrella is a must. They just replaced all the old yucky grills with new ones if you're into bbqs. They now charge $5 for parking to tourists.Recommended for:

One of the best and most favorite beaches on the island and within the State! The park boasts a wide sandy beach and crystal blue/green waters. A lifeguard is on duty to keep you safe! This is a great beach featuring cabins for camping, pavilions, restrooms and plenty of parking.
