My favorite part of the Spanish Plaza is the fountain. In fact one of the coolest features of Rome is that fresh, drinkable, delicious and free water flows from lions' mouths everywhere you go.

It's a great place to spot tourists, that Piazza Barberini. Located in an island in the middle of the street, it's located right above the Barberini Metro stop. The Fontana del Tritone e Fontana delle Api sits in its center, visible from all around. While it may be overshadowed as an attraction by the nearby Fontana di Trevi, it's still ...

Bruno and Simone are very friendly and decent guys. Their motorbikes are relatively new and kept in very good condition. Helped us with the maps, the baggage on the last day of our stay in Rome. The museum is larger than you'd after room of paintings, antiques, historical narrative, and religious attire. There's a surprising amount of relics of saints as well, though the biggest draw here is probably the isn't actually underground, and it's smaller than expected, but it's striking. Beautiful and shocking, it's completely decorated with the skeletal remains of monks long ...

It's another historic sight to see in Rome, one among many. The steps to reach the stop are many and kind of steep, but it's worth it since you get a great view of the city. While it didn't take my breath away, it reminded me how opulent and special Rome is.

Rome's Madison Avenue, Via dei Condotti unfolds from the Spanish Steps in a long straight ribbon lined with Bulgari, Prada and many other shiny, expensive designer stores. Check out the Antico Caffe Greco near the top of the street. It's one of Rome's oldest coffee shops, and was frequented by Keats and Shelley in their expat days.
