Hard Rock Hotel is all that and a bag of chips. Let’s start small and move up. Every employee has a guitar pick nametag with their favourite band listed under their name, which leads to many awesome conversations with a staff that is genuinely thrilled to have you there. The entire hotel is filled with mind-blowing autographs, memorabilia, and original artwork. The whole rock & roll theme is not nearly as commercialised as you might imagine from a place right by the parks. In short, it is not Mickey Mouse dressed up as Jimi Hendrix, it’s Jimi Hendrix. I am a diehard Beatles fan and there were posters and photographs here that I had never even seen before. The lounges are really elegant, and you can relax on the balconies and admire the pool down below. It is the biggest hotel pool I have ever seen, with zero-entry, underwater music, and a record-breaking waterslide – the largest in Central Florida. There is nothing about Hard Rock Hotel I do not love, and it takes genuine restraint not to box up my house and try to move in here.Recommended for:

A very fun hotel to make you feel a rock star! The location to the parks is perfect (5 min walking or by ferry) and the ambiance of the hotel is upbeat and lively with rock memorabilia everywhere. The pool has live rock performances most days and a lively pool bar with a great atmosphere!
We were very pleased with the standard of cleanliness in the room, and also the size of it. The room key can be used at the park as an express pass on shows and rides, avoiding regular lines. Another benefit is that parks open an hour earlier to guests of hotels at Universal property.

"You do know you're in the Hard Rock after all, don't you?". This was the response I heard a staff member give a couple who were upset over the volume of after hours music. I laughed out loud! Fun, wild and true to the rock and roll feel that embodies Hard Rock venues worldwide, this hotel is kickin' fun place to stay. Their Velvet Lounge is amazing and the hotel itself is comfortable, ideally located alongside Universal and very clean and comfortable. A little contrived? Maybe. But still fun and rocks nonetheless.

Are you ready to rock? Then you have come to the right place! Jimmy Hendrix pictures and a myriad of other rock and roll memorabilia are prominently displayed around the hotel lobby and throughout the property. Although the hotel is considered a family Disney resort don't be surprised to hear musical explosions throughout the hotel even into the later hours of the evening. After all this is the hard rock! The rooms are set up as large studio style crash pads perfect for entertaining and unleashing the weekend warrior. A delightful pool and assorted eateries are also on site so that you can keep on rocking into the weekend. Enjoy

Wow! Amazing place. I didn't stay in a room here but did visit and explore the resort.
The pool is fantastic surrounded by foliage, a pool bar, restaurant, and cabanas (for rent).
It's either an easy walk over to Citywalk or a quick water taxi. From there, you can get either to the other resort hotels or to the parks.
There is music/musician memorabilia all over the resort with small plaques to explain what it is that you're looking at. They have a quick service cafe on the lower level that is perfect for a quick breakfast of coffee, egg sandwich or danish. There are other offerings as well.
All staff I ran into were pleasant and helpful.
This hotel seems very popular with the younger set. It has more action than Portofino Bay. There is rock music being played out by the pool but the level of volume is pleasant and not obnoxious.
As a warning, you do have to pay for parking.
