Hard Tail...curious name for a women's clothing store!
What are they trying to get at with this name?
There are pictures of cute Junior sized models with er, uh, Hard Tails!
Maybe they are bitchy and spoiled (well they do have that look models have of aloofness!) so for guys, they are really Hard Tail?
The clothes are all super soft 100% cotton, so maybe to wear them you should have a Hard Tail?
I don't know. It is a Girl thing. This store is on Santa Monica's 3rd Street Promenade. The Promenade is basically a Juniors Shopping Mall in a Straight line that is outdoors, instead of the more common indoor mall with curving pathways of Junior Stores with Department Store anchors. Also, unlike the indoor malls, you have street performers, winos, homeless, and just generally more Riff Raff. Like your local regional Indoor mall, you do have the tattoed biker teens trying to look cool while being closer to civilization than there rural roots will allow, but they have more hip hair cuts here in Santa Monica.
Back to that Hard Tail.
For my favorite relative, this store has got cool, comfortable clothing, super soft cotton, with fun designs, in junior styles and cuts. It is for your Juniors and those Yoga Moms who still think they are Juniors.
For me, it is Old Navy clothing for 5 times the price! To wit:
Skimpy cotton shorts? $56.00!
Simple halter top? $67.00!
Simple Hoody? $97.00!
This place is like J. Crew with more style and about $20 more per piece!
And it isn't like the styles are new. Tye Dye tops and bottoms? Uh, that is 40 years ago! They just tried more Batik-like muted color tones.
I must say, everything is heavenly to the touch. And the pieces my favorite relative has are still going strong, 2 - 3 years and many wearings and washings later. But you need to be a Ballerina wanting workout clothes to really appreciate this stuff.Recommended for:
