Arguably the world's best university and certainly the richest. I work in the 'other Cambridge' in the UK, but it's hard not to be impressed by both Harvard's resources and the way it uses them. Lots of beautiful buildings as well and plenty for tourists.Recommended for:

Harvard University is one of the oldest school in the United States. Yes this is the same University for which the debt between President Adams and Jefferson about who started the first law school "Harvard or William and Mary"? Their are tours of the school and grounds contact student affairs for more information.Recommended for:

Harvard is a beautiful campus with very historic buildings. Just walking around the campus you can really appreciate the architecture of the buildlings and the classic feel of Boston. If you can get inside some of the buildlings (easiest with a Harvard student) you can see the Freshman cafeteria that looks like it was the basis for Hogwarts' dining room. The undergrad library and the law school library also have impressive architecture and design.

Harvard University is always a worthy spot to visit for a trip in Boston. The architectures within the prestigious campus is built to impress. The campus is very large, every building including the several churches is extraordinarily beautiful, adorned with the classical style. The Natural History Museum of Harvard University is an attraction in itself and has an impress collection of models of plants and flowers made out of glass.Recommended for:

Esoteric sophistication and prestige are pervasive during a stroll through Harvard's campus. The summer is the best time to visit, since there are far fewer students around and there will likely be plenty going on in nearby Harvard Square. Pay attention to who you pass in the quad - some of the country's biggest names in politics, science, and academia walk these same paths.

A lot of walking ad so much history. It's pretty.
The only downside is they won't let you access any of the buildings unless you're a student. I've never experienced that in other universities! UCLA, Stanford, Columnia, etc has let me go in and out of their buildings!
Directions were horrible but thanks to people I was able to get around.
Great areas out of Harvard. Lots of food and bars.
Overall: prettyRecommended for:

Founded 1636, Harvard was originally an ordained minister's college turned top university in the world. This campus is stunningly beautiful and a joy to walk through as you are among some of the best and brightest in the world. Imagine all the ideas being created here now...

Harvard is a really beautiful campus, and you can't help but feel all of the history that lives within the walls. Just knowing that the students walking around you are following in the footsteps of so many great men and women before creates a whole knew sense of inspiration.Recommended for:

Be sure to visit nearby Cambridge when in Boston. The area around Harvard has the mood of a typical college town with a variety of stores and eateries. Are you in search of a Harvard logo item? You can find a good selection without ever entering the campus. However, a walk on campus is always a good idea.

Walking around Harvard is like being in a Harry Potter movie, if Harry Potter were an American intellectual liberal instead of a small wizard. Seriously, the buildings are built like every detail counts, and if you can scam a tour from an alum, like I did (connections, connections) then learning about the intricate traditions and clubs which cover everything from dining halls to post-grad careers will give you an amazing sense of the mythical land that is Harvard.
