I really enjoy this beach. It's off the beaten path. There are a few fun places to eat in Waimanalo including a couple food trucks. I want to visit more of the farms that are inland from here soon.

Turtle Bay's Luau was beautiful. We had a Buffett dinner inside complete with delicious Mai Tai's. The dancers were great and the MC was funny and grabbed us to go on stage and learn some new moves. Afterwards everyone went outside to watch the amazing fire show. If you are staying at Turtle Bay I definitely recommend it!

Oahu is amazing. If your an outdoor junky like me than you will fit right in. The weather is amazing, ususally around 75F and the oceans are to die for with their crystal clear blue waters and white sand beaches. Hunama bay also offers a great snorkling spot that is also a preserve.

Love the drive to the windward side. The cliffs of the Pali are breathtaking, usually lined with streams of waterfalls or shrouded in mist.

I lived in Haiku when I was on the island. Its not much of a town - probably not worth a visit if you are here for a week. But its a nice community in the beginnings of the jungly part of the island.

A beautiful calm bay on the far northern tip of West Maui, Kapalua is one of my favorite places for a sunset swim. Though it might look like a private beach resort, by law anyone can use the public beach access parking lots and walk down to the shoreline for a dip. If you want to save money on hotels, ...

Hawaii has only two national parks, both focused on preserving the islands' unique volcanic landscapes. Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is unique, because it protects Kilauea Volcano, which is still active. Even if the lava isn't flowing during your visit, the park is still an awesome place to go hiking or just for a scenic drive. The Kilauea Iki Trail feels ...

A very sleepy little town, but also offers the most infrastructure after Haleiwa. The nucleolus is Foodland, but the reason to go is for Waimea, and the other amazing beaches. At night the food trucks come out here, and there is always a solid meal to be had at the Shark Cove grill.

One of the richer sections of the Big Island of Hawaii located on the Kona side of the island a bit North of downtown Kailua. Waikaloa is where all the resorts are located like the Hilton Waikaloa, the largest resort in all of the Hawaiian Islands.
