La Perla Reataurant right on the beach in Zihuatanejo. Best ceviche I've ever eaten!

Zihuatanejo is less of a turistic spot and more of a beach town. It's connected to Ixtapa by a ~10 min bus. Cool to hang out and hotels are also cheaper there... well at least when I went there, like 9 yrs ago!!

for jewelry, it's a quaint little town with a pleasant plaza and church--a nice change of pace from the beach. Taking a bus here from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is easy and cheap too. Plus who can resist a bus with interior frill, bobbing head dolls, and ranchera music?
