This original 1920s Austin home turned boutique hotel is the best place to stay in and experience the city's lively east side. The design is fresh, casual and sleek, with modern and historical style, like the original long-leaf pine floors found in the lobby and downstairs guestrooms. Each of the seven rooms is slightly different in layout and decor, but they are all incredibly spacious and feature local artwork accessories and mini-bar offerings, including Austin brews, like Fireman's #4. Rooms on the second-floor are accessed via a lovely, open-aired courtyard--a perfect place for an early evening cocktail. Guests can also explore the area's surrounding boutiques, restaurants and farmers' markets thanks to custom Heywood bikes.

Description

This renovated east Austin home turned boutique hotel is a lovely, locally-owned option right in the heart of the east side. The location and design create a completely unique experience for visitors, despite being only a few minutes away from downtown, UT campus and other major tourist attractions. Each of the seven rooms is slightly different in layout and decor, but all feature a spacious floor plan and luxury amenities, like deep, deluxe bathtubs and Archipelago Soy Milk bath products, plus locally-made snacks and drinks in the mini-bar, like Austin's Fireman's #4 brew. There is one handicap accessible room on the first floor and second-floor guestrooms are accessed via the lobby staircase, leading onto a shared, open-aired courtyard, where a complimentary daily happy hour is hosted. Guests can explore the surrounding east side boutiques, restaurants, farmers' markets and other neighborhood hot spots, with free bikes and the front desk is staffed with by friendly faces with a wide range of insider info and customized recommendations for any kind of traveler.
