An almost obnoxiously Italian hotel. The rooftop area is nice but the drinks are expensive and the crowd is almost all Italian. If you want a rooftop bar, I prefer Gallow Green just down the street for better drinks, service, and a view.

I loved this hotel! The OUT NYC is like a gay "W" hotel - with a cool nightclub attached AND a great restaurant! Great service, great space, great rooms. I will be back! - I heard they might open an OUT in Chicago next!

I did my fair share of couch surfing and curling up on an air mattress on the living room floor in my 20's while in New York, but as a 30-year-old (!!!), it's all Ace Hotel all the time for me. When I'm just in town for an afternoon, I still end up here, working from the lobby while I ...

Soho House is definitely a scene. A great place to have drinks, hang out, or join a special event (e.g., book signing, moving screening, etc.). The people watching here is great. Larger and less intimate than some of NY's other private clubs. Soho House feels a bit more commercial. The food is fine but definitely nothing special.

I love this hotel but it was getting crazy expensive as the only decent hotel in the area (before the Standard opened). The best part of this hotel is most certainly the roof-top bar and pool area. We have spent many a hot summer Manhattan night drinking cocktails by that pool laughing at the size of Tori Spelling's boobs and ...

Not a fan of the overly literal ship design and really not a fan of the weird location in the dodgy part of Chelsea, but I do like the restaurant, which counts for something.

Stayed there the first night they opened. Self check-in, multiple social areas to hang out similar to a W (including a spacious outdoor bar), small but cool rooms with adjustable beds. Fun and vibe and decor (white and purple, sort of spaceship-like).

A great new hotel in an unlikely location, the Nomad is definitely a current hot spot and the restaurant is home to the city's most popular roast chicken. I am giving four stars instead of five because my husband and I both found the famous chicken to be wildly salty and I found my cocktail to be undrinkable, but having ...

With 6 floors of expected small, vintage- style rooms, this hotel has been around for a while. Nowadays it is most recognized by New Yorkers for its club on the 1st floor, which is always a good time. However I would not suggest staying in the hotel simply for entry to this hot spot.

When I first booked my room at the Eventi, I was excited that I would be staying in a newer property in Midtown.
