A new highlight of the city. The new extension is a welcome addition but note that it doesn't get a lot of shade and can get extremely hot in the summer.
Enjoy a stroll and stop off at Cookshop for lunch or dinner before or after.
The vendors along the walkway are also part of the fun. Save room for a snack or coffee.

What a great way to turn industrial space into a lush green garden! The High Line is a beautiful spot to enjoy NYC's tall buildings and walk around, unencumbered by the myriads of streets and cars.

One of my new favorite spots in New York. I simply love this park. I was actually not super excited when I first heard about it, but was pleasantly surprised upon visiting. It's a great way to stroll leisurely down the West Side, above the fray of city streets in a truly green and innovative setting. We should repurpose all defunct tram lines this way!

Really cool urban park built on the historic freight rail line elevated above the streets on Manhattan’s West Side. Take a stroll during sunset as you'll get a great view of it.

Fantastic gardens, Beautiful Architecture as you walk the park. Unique New York City Experience. Best at night or early in the morning during the summer months the park is over crowded. During the week day in spring and fall is the best time to go because there are less people. If in was not over crowded I would give it a 5 star.

High Line Park is a former railroad track that sits above the Meatpacking district. It's been converted to a park with gardens, food carts, and art work, making it a pleasant stroll above elevated ground.Recommended for:Art & Design Lovers

Going up onto the High Line is essentially stepping away from the Meatpacking eclectic madness. A long paved path adorned with wild vegetation and flowers, The High Line serpents between buildings, running north to south in a snaky line between West 12th and West 30th Streets. Along its concrete path, tourists promenade, overlook the Hudson River and walk under the “stilts” of the Standard Hotel; they ultimately soak up some sun on the generous lounge chairs, cleverly placed on former freight tracks.

It's a beautiful park that's a nice change from the urban hustle. I walked here to check out Manhattan's western side and it was a total change of pace. The view from the coast is beautiful, and there's plenty of greenery, nearby boutiques and restaurants to satisfy your attention.
