Eco-friendly and hippie. Great public transit system incorporating buses and a streetcar system. Biker friendly with dedicated bike lanes all over the city. Multiple microbreweries across town make Portland a premier destination for brewery hopping and craft beer enthusiasts.

This is definitely not the best picture of my hometown. LOL! It is just across the bridge from Portland and it is an awesome city!

Dundee is such a lovely town nestled in the hills of the Willamette Valley. It is also an area of rich soil that produces some of the best Pinot Noirs the world around.

Newberg is the heart of the Willamette Valley and Pinot Noir country. Great wineries, good local restaurants, small hotels, and friendly people make Newberg an ideal home base when exploring the area.

Lake Oswego is one of the nicer areas surrounding Portland. Very good schools, very nice community, very good place to grow up. While it doesn't have a huge nightlife, it's quite peaceful.

Tigard is like a suburb mushed between Beaverton and Lake O. It's definitely something you pass through but might not even notice when you do. Also, because it's a main artery for a lot of roads, it's a pain to drive through at certain times.

Gaston has rolling greens hills full of vineyards and farms. A good place to start a Willamette Valley wine tour.

Aloha is probably one of the more "worn down" suburbs west of Portland. It's not as ideal as Beaverton, or rural as Hillsboro. Just in-between. You'll find yourself going to Portland a lot if you live here.
