Hilton Boston Back Bay

40 Dalton St., Boston, MA 02115

5 reviews

This hotel is a great location in regards to downtown Boston. And if you're coming in for the marathon or a convention at the Hynes center, then its an even better location. But don't expect this hotel to try too hard to prove its worth. Underwhelmed with the interior, service, and amenities. The Sheraton across the street is better.

Better than expected for a Sheraton. The rooms appear to have been updated fairly recently. Felt a bit more like a Westin -- i.e., slightly more modern. The property is massive but does a good job of accommodating a high volume of people. The in-house Starbucks is a plus; however, the lobby is so large that a few homeless people ...

This place is sort of halfway between an inn and a private suite complex. There are no keycards: instead every door is protected by a keypad, and every guest is given a room number. Your suite is more like a small condo complete with a fully-stocked kitchen. As a result there’s a minimum in terms of services offered, though the ...

Three things stood out to me about the Colonnade: its friendly staff, its great rooftop pool, and its cute little rubber duckies in the bathtub. The staff are the type that greet you when you first walk through the door and strike up a conversation with you when you catch a ride with them in the elevator. The concierges also ...

Stayed here for few days for work. I was a little worried about this place because the place looked so outdated. Overall it was a decent hotel. No bed bugs, clean room, good customer service. The location is in South end and it's 5minutes walk to the mall/hynnes convention center. It's also walking distance to some tastey restaurants and cafes.

Overall, I had a wonderful experience at the Park Plaza. The rooms smelled a little, since they are older, but the concierge is very helpful and the location is perfect: you are right by the Boston Common and a T-stop for the metro. There are also several restaurants nearby. Great for those looking to sightsee.

Stay at the Lenox Hotel and eat at City Table because there's something to be said for class, but there's a ton more to be said for a steaming pile of sliders. Bringing the common man that second option, City Table. Taking over Azure's old white tableclothed upscale dining locale in the Lenox and replacing it with an earthy "neighborhood ...

One of the most prominent hotels in downtown Boston and it’s certainly jammed with luxuries. The amenities for each room are impressive: robes, soaps, safes, even umbrellas (these may be indispensable if you come between February and May). The restaurant has a nice rotating menu with a bunch of different seasonal specials and is open late. The location is clearly ...

The Copley Square Hotel has some serious bang for your buck. The hotel offers complimentary wifi and has an exercise center on site (though it's on the smaller side). Bottled water is also provided daily during turndown, and guests can help themselves to free coffee in the morning and free seasonal beverages (hot chocolate was on tap during our visit) ...

I haven't stayed overnight at the Copley, but I did attend a function held in The Grand Ballroom which was, to say the least, breathtaking. The crystal chandeliers, balconies, and gilded framework make it seem like something straight out of a Disney movie. The easy-to-overlook Newbury Guest House is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel, not that there's anything wrong with that. It's a good value, but amenities are lacking -- the free wi-fi and free "American" breakfasts are both positives, but NGH lacks room service, a pool, or exercise center. The rooms in the hotel are decently-sized and have ...

Marriott Copley Place did not deliver to my full expectations of the quality Marriott offers. The lobby gives a nice greeting, the restaurant provides a good meal and relaxation, but the rooms look like a reflection of ...

At my first glance of the Chandler Inn, I suspected there was something strange between its appearance and location. Tucked away in the quieter South End, the building could pass as an old apartment complex in the middle of the nit and grit of Boston. To further add to its eccentricity, I was bombarded with a colorful interior and geometric ...

This Back Bay brownstone seems mostly occupied by BU visitors and business people, but it was a great place for a vacation stay. Close to the T and short walk to Newbury Street. We had the North Tower room which had a kitchenette and a great view of the Charles River. Breakfast was modest but the staff was very helpful.

This is a fairly unique Courtyard property because it is was converted in 2007 from a historic hotel called 88 Exeter. It is technically not managed under the flagship "Courtyard" brand, so there are some almost boutique-like touches to this hotel that are different from other Courtyards. One of the eye-catching features of the hotel for me was the old ...

I've stayed at this property for many years and the service levels have really declined since being sold to Taj. Room quality is okay but varies by room. Juxtaposed with the historical appearance of the building, Hotel 140 offers a modern, luxurious, and cozy atmosphere within the confines of their walls. Hailed as one of the most affordable hotels in Back Bay, Hotel 140 far exceeded my expectations of just being a “cheap” hotel.
