This new hotel (April 2010) screams Fashion District with its trendy decor, colorful neon lights, and decorations resonating the neighborhood's rich history of fashion design and clothing making. Bright, sleek rooms feature amenities like free coffee and Tazo Tea and offer rather ample space for midtown Manhattan. Just steps away from the free museum at FIT as well as plenty of other attractions, such as Herald Square, Times Square, and The Highline. A concierge is available to help plan your day and plenty of art, fashion, and tourism books are available in the spacious lobby to inspire your visit. Note that the Hilton Garden Inn, just two blocks up on 28th Street, is a different hotel but offers similar accommodations and rates.Recommended for:

Just two years old, this Hilton hotel tries very hard to incorporate the history of the garment district into its décor and atmosphere. The front desk, for example, is reminiscent of a cutting room table, with the desks held up by silver-plated spools of thread, buttons strewn across the counter, and artwork that mimics fabric prints. The rooms as well as the hallways are decorated with high-fashion photography shots, some created by students from the Fashion Institute of Technology. The hotel integrates details of the garment industry into its overall design in a tasteful and sophisticated way. The rooms themselves look very new and spacious. Some rooms have fantastic views of the Empire State Building, and the hotel is in a great location for exploring the city.Recommended for:

Even if you catch a rainy day you'll still be able to enjoy your time at Hilton New York Fashion District. There's a bar downstairs where you can grab some light food and drinks. The lovely rooftop bar has a bit of cover so that rain droplets won't get in the way of you relaxing and enjoying your time up there and you'll still be able to get the view of Manhattan. You're right in the center of many tourist attractions and lots of garment and jewelry stores to shop from and many other restaurants too.
The rooms are simple and modern - a nice place to put up your feet and sleep after a tiring day of wandering around the city. They're close to the CitiBikes for travelers who like to bike around instead of being on foot all day.Recommended for:

My hotel room was
nice & clean. It was a little on the small side but it is NYC. The room is very new & modern looking....includes a flat screen tv & a Keurig. Everyone at the front desk was super helpful! It has a pretty good restaurant attached to it named Rare.
Hilton New York Fashion District's lobby restaurant serves burgers and other classic American fare, while its bar/lounge hosts happy hour and serves up innovative cocktails. A rooftop bar offers stunning views of the NYC skyline, and provides a sanctuary for relaxing and having a few drinks in the evenings. Other amenities include a complimentary 24-hour fitness center, full concierge services, 24-hour room service, a business center, parking garage (feel applies) and valet parking on-site (a feel will apply). Over 1100 square feet of meeting space is also available for private events for up to 90 guests.
