Great location near the White House. Parking is very expensive as it is valet only. The series of one way streets can be a challenge here especially if there is road construction going on. The lobby bar is very expansive and welcoming. The rooms were pretty standard and on the verge of needing an update (as of 2011).

We loved this hotel. It was a great price for the location in the city here a lot of hotels can be $50-$100 more. The lobby is a bit dated, but the room was totally new with great finishes. I will certainly stay there again, if I need a place in Washington.

I've stayed at this Hilton twice (always hoping to catch a glimpse of Paris (the bimbo, not the city), but no such luck. The first time was before they did a massive restoration, which made it not at all worth the money --- but the second time, holy bejezus! The place sparkles like few hotels I've stayed in. It ain't cheap, and stay away from room service if you wish to avoid sticker shock, but the view from the upper floors of most of DC is amazing, and the rooms and especially the shower places you in the lap of luxury. After one day, the doorman greeted me with Mr. Fehmers, (how did he do that?) which was more disconcerting than pleasant to be honest, considering the hundreds of people staying there. Considering I couldn't even remember his name, I found that pretty impressive.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers
