No nonsense. I was kind of caught of guard when the guy at the desk handed me a room key and told me the room number, and then I turned around and the door was right there. Like, right beside me, basically in the lobby. I took about ten steps and I was there. That felt weird to me, and less private than I like. But nothing else was bad, per se. Decent bed, TV with some channels, a little desk, bathroom was nice, though no toiletries I'd bother to take with me. The price is right here, so I wouldn't cross it off my list. I just wouldn't plan a romantic getaway here or anything. Its close (like a ten minute walk) to plenty of bars and restaurants and shops and public transit and really everything you're looking for, so why complain, right?

No complaints, but no rave reviews either. It's clean and efficient, like you expect mass chain like Holiday Inn to be. The location is awesome, just a couple blocks from a SEPTA stop. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I overheard the woman behind the desk giving ample suggestions and directions to a man who was visiting Philly for the first time. It’s really tailored to the business traveler, with computers, copiers, fax, and internet available, and a rather sterile lounge/dining area. The rooms are generous and the place is bigger than it appears from the outside. There is a pool, though it was closed up for the winter, and they have connections with a nearby gym that you can apparently use at a major discount. Unless you have to hunker down and work in your hotel room, everything you want to is within blocks.Recommended for:
