Firstly, you can walk right out the back doors of this Holiday Inn and be staring straight at Vanderbilt's stadium. So if you're going to a Vandy event, this might be where you'd want to stay. The hotel itself is nice. It's close to lots of good restaurants and not far from downtown, granted you have a car to take. When I was there, it was cold out and they kept the hotel super warm, which I love and the beds were incredibly soft, plus there was a towel swan! The only pool is outside, so don't expect swimming in winter.

Great hotel in a lovely location, perfect for the outdoor lover. It has a beautiful outdoor pool and a great gazebo situated in the back that is quiet and friendly. It is steps away from the lovely Centennial Park with its 1:1 replica of the Parthenon and the parking lot faces Vandy's football field. It is one of the few hotels in this area that has free parking which is a huge plus. It is close to lots of great restaurants, like J. Alexander's where you might run into famous country music singers. The grill is nice and the whole hotel is clean and sparkly.

This hotel made me feel super welcome right off the bat. The front desk staff made sure the experience was worthwhile! Perfect location for Vanderbilt students' families when they visit the area. Your stay includes free passes to the Parthenon in Centennial Park across the street, access to the pool (during open season), and an amazing fitness center. There is a coffee bar in the mornings, and the Commodore Lounge provides great meals and evening entertainment (live music Tuesday through Saturday). The front desk is happy to reserve tours and travel accommodations using your method of payment on file. Be advised: not a walk-friendly location, but the hotel provides a free shuttle that operates in a three mile radius.

The best mid-range priced hotel in Nashville, in my opinion. There were so many things that were good about this hotel. Three words come to mind: fun, considerate, conscientious. The fun comes in little touches like the prize wheel you get to spin when you check in if you're a rewards member. Or the vintage bikes they have available for guests to rent for $10 a day so you can cruise around Centennial Park. The staff are considerate of all their guests' needs, even going so far as to provide 30 handicap accessible rooms with amenities like visual doorbells. They offer in-room recycling bins so if you're a conscientious traveler, you don't have to tote out your recyclable garbage with you. The staff is so nice, the atmosphere is fun, I really can't say enough about this hotel. It offers the service and atmosphere you'd pay a lot more for at a luxury hotel, but at a fraction of the price.

I loved this hotel. The environment was fun and friendly- from the bikes for rent (only $10 for a full day) to the staff members high five-ing each other. I have never been a hotel that was so thought out and considerate. They have a free shuttle that will take you within three miles of the hotel and free parking. They have approximately thirty handicap accessible rooms including twelve rooms for the hearing impaired designed with flashing lights that come on when the doorbell is rung. They also have color-coded cleaning cloth bundles. Each color is used for one specific area of the room and a new bundle is used for each room, so there is no cross-contamination. There are several guests that stay at the Holiday Inn to go to the local hospitals, so I loved those considerate touches.
I love a view and no matter what room you have, you'll have a great view of the parthenon in Centennial Park from your balcony. You don't have to worry about the city sounds when you want to sleep because the balcony doors are sound proof.
If you're like me, you hate those questionable shower curtains that somehow always find their way to your body when you are showering. Well, don't worry about it here. The glass shower doors eliminate that gross factor and make the bathroom seem more clean and more open. Every room also has a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. There are also recycling bins for the environment lovers like me.
I could go on and on about this hotel and I never thought I would say that about a Holiday Inn, but the staff, the extra touches, the location, and all the amenities make this hotel definitely worth staying in.

Two great things: Free shuttle to Downtown, Vanderbuilt U and Hospitals 7am - 11pm. Free Parking. Room is typical of Holiday Inn Express. No free breakfast. Outdoor pool. Absolutely not walking distance to downtown.
