You just HAVE to walk down the Hollywood Boulevard if you're in Los Angeles. Although it's always crowded and full of tourists, it's worth seeing this famous sight. You'll get the Hollywood feeling :)Recommended for:

Tourist central as it celebrates the movie past, present and future of Hollywood. Take a picture with an Elvis impersonator or stare at the stars and wonder how the people got there.

A walk along Hollywood Boulevard is a must for any tourist visiting the area, and the stars along the way are fun to look at and take photos with. There are plenty of attractions along this stretch, and you won't want to miss Grauman's Chinese Theater as well.

Obviously the main place to check out if you're in this area. Hollywood Blvd. is where you'll find the major attractions in Hollywood - Grauman's Chinese Theater, the Kodak Theater, the Walk of Fame, Hollywood and Highland - basically it's all here. It's also PACKED crowded, so do be prepared. There are a ton of street performer types and costumed tip-seekers looking to grab your kids for a photo and some change, so do keep an eye out!Recommended for:

Dirty and poor, that's my memory from the famous boulevard. Daily time it has nothing to do with the glory, which every tourist imagine.
Homeless lie around, boulevard and stars are spotted by oil, gums and who knows what else. Smell not good, looks not good. I am sorry that an illusion was killed.
The municipality has to make some efforts that the place looks at least fake glory as people from EU or Asia expects to be.Recommended for:

This is literally walking distance. Lots of actions. Hard Rock Cafe among many restaurants and street art and action. And Hollywood/Highland is here as is a Renaissance Hotel and Loews. And the walk over will give you a good feel of the area.

I suppose every first time visitor to Hollywood has to do the Walk of Fame at least once, just to say you've done it. The city has done what it can to smarten up a stretch of the boulevard better known for sleazy people and hookers, but it's still pretty tawdry.
