This is one of the hippest hotels in L.A. - known as much for its stylish hotel scene as for its great service. Beautiful pool area that becomes a velvet rope party scene on weekends. Right in central Hollywood.Recommended for:

The Roosevelt is a Hollywood institution, and a great choice if you want to get a taste of Hollywood nightlife. Going out in Hollywood can vary widely - from total dive bars to total over-the-top scenes. The Roosevelt is more along the lines of the latter - but without the ridiculous line or hassle of "being on the list." Hang out by the poolside bar for a more casual feel with great ambiance. Also - the burger place in the hotel "25 Degrees" is great.
The hotel rooms are exactly what you would expect - modern and chic, almost too-cool-for-school. The views of Hollywood Blvd. are awesome, though, and you can't beat the location - right across the street from the Hollywood & Highland shopping center, which is where the Kodak Theatre is (where the Oscars are held).

Finding a hotel is usually about getting a place to sleep, but for nightlife lovers, L.A. is the perfect place to find a hotel that's best for staying awake. The party here centers around the pool, where you can get drinks until 2 a.m. while you do some celeb spotting. Teddy's nightclub downstairs is equally as star studded, but it can often be tough to get in (unless, of course, you are Justin Timberlake or Jay-Z).Recommended for:

Truly a classic gem of a hotel. This hotel may be old, but it it is far from stale. The rooms have been recently upated and are very comfortable. The lobby bar is not to missed. And if you are in the mood for a burger, the restaurant here makes one of the best in LA!

Location, location, location...but aside from the great location that is walking distance to the restaurants and bars of Hollywood are the large rooms with cool furniture and the rooftop pool with the amazing views

I've stayed in better rooms in LA and had the misfortune on my first night to be in the 'Expedia room' (so unofficially dubbed as that's where they put people booking cheaper rates), where there was no view and a spotlight shone into the room all night. I got moved to a better room with a view the following day. Funky pool area which attracts a smattering of beautiful people and wannabes, particularly at weekends.

This is a really cool hotel for drinks or a little get-together with friends. The aesthetic is dark and chic, and at night, the lights shimmer off the pool, giving the outdoor area an even cooler vibe. and Grab a table near the pool for best people-watching. I saw P.Diddy here the last time I went.
