be careful I saw a ghost...
well a ghost pepper bbq sauce but i didnt think it was overly spicy. I thought it was simply tasty as can be. I just stopped through here last weekend on my way back from Mammoth to LA. Well they have some tasty stuff here. I was able to sample several of the things that I didnt order as well as have what I ordered and there was plenty even after sharing.
Pro Tip: Ask for the ghost pepper bbq sauce as its not kept on the table.
Yeah its nice having some super juicy pulled pork. so juicy in fact that there was a bunch of juice still in the cup that they put the pulled pork into. I ordered the pulled pork sammie (also known as Hog Heaven on their menu). It comes with a pickle and a side which I got the cornbread.
Unfortunately the thing that I didnt like about my grub was that it was deconstructed. I had to assemble the pulled pork onto a french role sliced through (I was hoping for a pocket on it to no avail). The pulled pork was ok but the regular bbq and the ghost pepper sauce made it pretty tasty.
My favorite thing were the ribs. I got one from a friend and it was very succulent and tasty with the meat falling off of the bone. The beef brisket was better than average with a very thin bark.
The chicken was hit and miss. For example, when my friend cut open her chicken it was not totally cooked. It appeared to be too juicy and had that partially cooked chicken look. However as soon as we brought this up to the waitress, she replaced it immediately and the replacement was properly prepared. The chicken was also a lot better with the bbq sauce than without it.
They also had horseradish and a "spicy" bbq sauce which I didnt have.
I do like that they had some honey boo boo on the tables for the cornbread. They also have beer and wine here. So enjoy the tasty treats. It is worth stopping here. It also fills you up quite well for the trek home.
I overheard the order taker tell someone they were open till they ran out of grub or travelers stopped coming through. Just an FYI on that one...Recommended for:

I'm going to do a review more on the side dishes =)
Overall: 2.5 but rounded up due to the delicious Ribs dish. =)
You order at the front cashiers & then go get your table, not much waitressing done here. They only bring out your food, the rest is self serve.
Sampler plate: 2.5 stars
Pricey for what you get since portions are small. Not worth it to order; better to order the other main dishes instead.
Rack of Ribs: 5 stars
So worth it, delicious & very Texas styled Ribs here. =) Order this if you love ribs.
Mac N Cheese: 4 stars
Very buttery & creamy. Delicious tasting, you should definitely order this dish. =)
Baked potato: 3 stars
Just A okay, basic potato with sour cream & cheese. Had no green onion toppings.
Potato Salad: 3.5 stars
So much better than the baked potato. This was very creamy & yummy. I could actually taste the fresh pieces of eggs in this.
Apple cobbler: 1 star
Had no taste & cobbler had no sweetness to it. This was just missing something, it was just too plain tasting.
Decor: (B+) Interesting cowboy & Texan memorabilia hanging everywhere; all over the walls.
If you're in the area & you like ribs then this is the place for you to go.Recommended for:
