Greatest Beach we have ever been to. White sand and a gently sloping ocean floor make for a great day with the family. Usually a great place to boogie board.
Great view of a gorgeous Valley. One long walk to the bottom if you don't have a 4 wheel drive vehicle though. We have taken a horseback ride through the valley and it was great.
Can't be missed. This is quintessential Big Island. The lava has been flowing since the 80's. Just check the weather before heading out as it is often in the 60's here.
A beautiful beach located on the Mauna Kea resort property. They have limited non-guest parking so it is tough to get in here. Try after lunch as many early risers have left.
Not fancy, just good food. Only open for breakfast and lunch and they only take cash but no one leaves hungry. The portions are huge so don't say we didn't warn you.
An interesting place to visit with a nice stroll through tropical conditions. There is a fee for parking here.
Another great place to eat. It was a little embarrassing when they rang the bell to announce I had ordered one of their "sumo" sized menu items but I persevered.
