2015 Special-WIFI/New England Home in quiet, wooded setting near Acadia Nat'l Pk

Great place in quiet area near town. Away from all the noise of Bar Harbor but close enough to visit. You pass the Harbor each time you come and go from there. You can listen to the boat horns from the house. Close to town where you can shop, explore, rent bikes, kayaks, boats, and catch the FREE Island...

Echo Lake

Wonderful view. Water is 15 degrees warmer than the Sand (Ocean) Beach, about 75 in August. Always clean. Great Hiking trails above the Lake. You can catch the FREE Island Explorer Bus at the Post Office in town and ride here and back.

Gott's Store

Has great ice cream store. Their gas is usually the cheapest on the island. It is about 1 mile a way. Convience store has the basics and they are open after midnight and open early around 5.

Brandon & Laura's Cafe

One of the few places open for breakfast. Owners go above and beyond. Eat where the locals eat. Visit them on their Facebook page to receive coupons you can print out.

Demuros Top of the Hill Rstrnt

They have the abosolute best alfredo sauce. You have to try the tri-colored rotini with shrimp and scallops! They even have blueberry dacquiries. Only complaint is that the price seems high for pasta.

Seawall

Great views. Just sit and listen to the waves crash on the rocks or enjoy exlporing the tidal pools left at low tide. Bring a picnic lunch, just be sure to take out everything you bring in. We want the place to stay beautiful.

Wonderland

Easy, mostly flat trail, beginning inland in the woods and ending up at the ocean. Great trail for children or those that haven't hiked before.

Southwest Harbor

Great view of harbor and Greening and Sutton islands. One minute drive from our home.
