Get away from the hustle of Honolulu and take a break at Honey's. This small restaurant located in the Ko'olau Ballrooms & Conference Center and near to the Ko'olau Golf Course, offers a peaceful place to grab a bite and enjoy an outstanding view of the Ko'olau mountains. A short drive off of H3, you feel less stress just driving up the tree covered road. The menu has a good variety of offerings. I had the special chopped steak dish with choice of 2 sides (I choose fries and pasta salad) and it was quite good. My friend ordered the half sandwich and half soup plate and she enjoyed it. But the highlight of the lunch was the mud pie ice cream; wow, was that terrific. Service is pretty fast and the staff very friendly. They are willing to offer up some history on the golf course, club house, and conference center. I think the menu is a bit pricy (I've only been here for lunch), but if you've got more than just an hour for lunch, it's definitely worth a drive.
-- Parking is abundant in the large lot out front serving the conference center and golf course.
