One of my favorite places to eat when I visit Honolulu. The boneless chicken and strawberry slush float are my two favorite. Kimchee fried rice, spam and eggs, Portuguese sausage and rice are good breakfast choices.

Although this is mainly a store, I go for the food court upstairs. Very authentic Japanese food. It would mKe a person from Japan right at home. The food is mostly inexpensive. The book store and gift sold downstairs are also very interesting.

Absolutely killer spot for freshly made udon noodles in the heart of touristy Waikiki. Grab a tray and order cafeteria-style. Don't forget to pick up some of the giant-sized tempura (yum, Japanese-style onion rings). Bonus: it's open late.

    Waiola Shave Ice

2135 Waiola Street, Honolulu, HI 96826
    4.5
    15 reviews

One of my favorite places to get shave ice in Honolulu! Shave ice is soft like powdered snow. There are many syrups to choose from. Guava, passion fruit, lychee, haupia...too many yummy flavors to choose from! When in doubt get the classic rainbow or Obama rainbow. Be sure to add toppings, like ice cream, condensed milk, mochi, or li hing. ...

Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha

    820 West Hind Drive

Best shaved ice ever. Ice is very fine, melts in you mouth. The syrups are home made and the ice cream is gourmet. I loved the different mix of flavors.

    Bogart's Cafe

Ste 3, 3045 Monsarrat Avenue, Honolulu, HI

I had a great breakfast here. The menu features all the standards like bagels, eggs, pastries, etc. but the freshness was anything but standard. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was the perfect size with big fresh chucks of avocado, spinach, eggs, and potatoes. It was not too heavy but perfectly satisfying. Remember to bring cash if you get ...

    Honolulu Beerworks

This new establishment recently opened near Ka'akao . This less then a month brewery is the only one on Oahu that creates their own beer!!! Come check out the ambiance of relax and unwinding nature after a hard day of work. Their staff is remarkably knowledgeable and give a while new comforting meaning to "Aloha" . At the moment they ...

    Jimbo Japanese Noodle Restaurant

    1936 S King St, Honolulu, HI 96826
    4.5
    7 reviews

In my opinion, the best udon on the island. The savory broth and their skinny udon noodles (cost 50 cents extra) are my staple here. I normally get the Oyakodon / udon combo (only $12.90 dinner / $11.50 lunch), and I leave stuffed. It's not a fancy place, just great noodles.

Great local caffeine dispensary just off university avenue. It's popular among students and those who appreciate a well made cup of Joe. Order a latte for an example of their artistic cup art.

This no frills Korean restaurant located just next to the Ala Moana center shopping mall (and next door to the Nijiya Supermarket) offers some real bargains, and is a favorite among the younger budget minded crowd as as it is among local kamaaina. The cheap eats here are the Soon Do Bu, Meat Jun, and Kalbi dishes. You can order ...

Sunday night, right before closing, my husband and I $13 for a whole chicken plate. Came with rice and corn. Satisfied both of our hunger, so fro $7.50 a person, not bad. The chicken has the bbq flavor, but just seemed a touch dry in various places. Location isn't bad, right near the old Sam Choy's. Parking has exits in ...

My family and I walked up and down the streets, trying to find Me BBQ. Haha we finally asked a store owner, who directed us to the pink restaurant. Lucky Belly

Still under a year old, it is already being billed as one of the best ramen spots in town, and in Honolulu that is a tough market to make a name in. It blends a San Francisco hipster, foodie vibe, with fresh local ingredients and flavors. Try the Maui Coconut Porter, the shrimp gyoza are spectacular, and Belly Bowl and ...
