    Honolulu Beerworks

    7 reviews

This new establishment recently opened near Ka'akao . This less then a month brewery is the only one on Oahu that creates their own beer!!! Come check out the ambiance of relax and unwinding nature after a hard day of work. Their staff is remarkably knowledgeable and give a while new comforting meaning to "Aloha" . At the moment they ...

Love love love the authentic Mexican cuisine at Cocina. Chef Quinten Frye brings out classic Mexican flavors and fresh combos that utilize local ingredients. Fried avocado (shown) is heavenly and chilaquiles are another must-order if they're on the menu. Free margaritas while they last on Tuesdays!

Kiwami recently moved from their Waikiki location into the space formerly occupied by Tsuku Tsuku Tei. Love their ramen, and they have free parking downstairs in their garage.

    Crab Bucket

    3 reviews

This is my new favorite Cajun seafood place on Oahu. The lobster, clams and shrimp were definitely fresh, though the crawfish were probably frozen. The House sauce is the one to choose and was definitely full of garlic flavor. Service is friendly, though the decor was spartan.

    Side Street Inn

    17 reviews

Every city needs a gastro-pub that DOESN'T call itself a gastro-pub where you can watch community based events (aka Sports or Politics) and eat and drink with creative abandon. This is Honolulu's unpretentious yet highly consistent answer to this critical civic need. Also Bourdain approved goodness. Very near Ala Moana shopping center and a great late-night hangout in Honolulu/ Waikiki ...

    Marukame Udon

    26 reviews

I made a point of trying this place on my visit and for the most part it didn't disappoint. There was a line at 8pm but it moved quickly. Staff was friendly and the tempura shrimp was delish with the kake udon. The fried chicken was a too heavily battered and greasy for my taste. I'll be standing in this ...

Get into the Aloha spirit having a drink beach side. In the evenings they sometimes have a ukulele player to add to the Hawaii vibe. The bar area is massive great for big groups.

    Alan Wong's Restaurant

    25 reviews

Founded by one of the most notable figures in the Hawaiian culinary scene, this out-of-the-way restaurant is considered by many locals and tourists alike to be the best restaurant in the state. While that distinction is certainly debatable, Alan Wong's is absolutely deserving of patronage simply because they also give back to the community. The prices are a bit high, ...

    Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar

    21 reviews

I probably wouldn't buy the sushi because I think it's a little expensive, but I can't complain about the food or quality here. I love going in for the lunch menu or one of the two happy hours they have (early HH is only at the bar; late HH has more seating). If you're coming for an actual meal or ...

    Lucky Belly

A new local favorite! This ramen restaurant has a 1-page food menu, yet their drink offerings cover 4 pages. The pupus are delicious and the ramen bowls are huge, filling meals, but be warned - even the biggest bowl of ramen will get you through maximum 1 of the 4 pages of cocktails.

Their mochi is so great and they have a variety of weird and awesome flavors. They all taste great, though! Next time I go, I'm trying the highly recommended cake.

5 hungry people, 10 thumbs up! We were all in agreement with the pizza, the size, the tastes, the selections, the service, and the beers available. The crust was a little too done, but it was still good fresh hot pizza. Or were just just 5 hungry patrons. This is my 3rd time at JJ's and it's always a good ...
