We are traveling on a tight budget, and every hotel we looked at seemed overpriced to me - and Campo Base is no exception. For the 32000 we paid a night here, we got a very small room with a bunkbed, and a private bath (the same price at the Yellow House in Valparaiso the week before got us a huge room with a spectacular ocean view). However, this place is very clean, the beds are comfy, and their staff are friendly. The included breakfast is well above average, and if you want eggs, they're provided (you cook them yourself). To save money we took advantage of their large kitchen one night to cook dinner and found it to be well equipped and stocked. The wifi here is reliable and they provide two community computers. Oh, and they have two hammocks! The only real complaint I have is that it was fairly noisy in the morning - the staff was talking loudly right outside our window one morning, and the hostel is immediately next to the one gas station in town, so we got the roar of trucks through the night (although our room was the worst-positioned for this - other rooms might not hear it). If you're a good sleeper and appreciate cleanliness and hearty breakfasts, I recommend this place to you.
