Living up to its name, this is a tranquil cottage hostel built among the forest and flowers and right by a small stream. This is definitely the place for budget-conscious travelers to relax while staying in Boquete. The rocking chairs in the open-air courtyard also add to the warm, communal, calm atmosphere. $12 per night for the dorm, and about 3 times that for a private double. Definitely quieter than the equally popular Mamallena Hostel.

This is a clean and nice looking hostel on the river. It's $38 for a private double, and $11 per person, per night for the dorm. I noticed the wooden floors, and big wooden rockers. Comfortable and clean. They had a big common living room as well as a big common dining room. The people who ran the place were nice. It seemed fairly quite most of the time we were there. The nicest thing is that it's right on the river. You can hear the water going over the rocks if you open your window. Very peaceful and calming.
