Knowing that the Aida Opera is a chain hotel, I was quite pleasantly surprised by it. First of all, it is well located: near the big transportation hub, Saint Lazare, quite central within the city and close to many sites (like the Paris Opera), but still in a relatively residential and quaint neighborhood.
Though not extremely authentic, the décor was fairly enjoyable, with a modern art feel, and consistant use of wood paneling. The rooms were spacious and had that reliable chain comfort. And starting below 100 euros, the prices make this a particularily good option, even for a longer trip.

This is a decent, affordable hotel in a great location. You can get a decent room for a bit over 100 euros from here, which is not bad for such a central location. The street is very calm, just off the busy Grand Boulevard. There are numerous metro stations about 10-minute walk from hotel and you can walk to Opéra in no time.
The lobby featured chandeliers and a nice sitting area. The rooms are a bit dated with the wood paneling, but serve their purpose and above all they were clean.
You can have breakfast in at the hotel, or choose one of the cafés or bakeries nearby (cheaper option). Good thing about this hotel is the fitness room downstairs; you don't often get that in hotels in this price range.

This hotel is located in a quiet street off the Grand Boulevards and is close to theatres, restaurants, bars, and great shopping.
The long hall-like lobby is a little dull but a cluster of fuchsia and turquoise chairs try their best to brighten it up. The rooms are a little old-fashioned but they are quiet and clean and all come with free WIFI. A continental buffet breakfast is available in the dining room but I would rather walk to a café nearby. I would also rather burn calories strolling through Paris than in their gym in the tiny room downstairs.
This hotel is very basic but for those of you on a budget it is a great choice as if you book on their website 15 days in advance you can often find a double room for 75 Euros! Not bad for a hotel located in central Paris.

My first hotel stay in my very first trip abroad - it was a very pleasant experience. The hotel is a bit of a commute to city center, but the Paris Metro was simple enough to figure out. The area itself was nice and hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
