This hotel has the best beds I have ever slept on!
Located in Brentwood it is right off the freeway and very close to the Getty Museum.
The bar on the top of the hotel has great views of Los Angeles and yummy drinks!
I try to stay here on business whenever I am in LA because the staff is also so accomodating.

What a major facelift! This used to be the famous circular highrise Holiday Inn and now it's a Joie de Vivre property, so you'll find modern amenities and a stylish interior. Loved the convenient location right next to the 405 and that it is just a few minutes away from The Getty Center, Westwood and Santa Monica.
The free and friendly valet service was a huge plus, as was early check in. We stayed in a king room overlooking the outdoor pool and fitness center. The pool area has a nice modern lounge area and fireplace. There's also a restaurant and bar on the top floor with sweeping views of the city below. They also offer free wine in the evenings. Most importantly, their bed was super comfy.
I'd definitely consider staying here again! A great value.

Pulling up to the hotel I was a bit nervous, as it sits just off a busy freeway. However, Joie de Vivre has pulled off a major feat and, once inside, I felt totally removed from the busy city around me. Every guestroom has a balcony, which was nice because the view from my room was fantastic. The room itself was nothing special, but did the job (that is, I slept comfortably) The hotel restaurant is a blast as it offers a huge panorama of LA from the hotel’s top floor. Location was good if you need to be near Santa Monica, Westwood or Beverly Hills, though nowhere is within walking distance. Free Internet is a big plus, though honestly I expect it. Also appreciated was the “wine hour” each day, which was free and relaxing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially business people, though keep in mind it is not a special experience by any means.Recommended for:Business Travelers

Angeleno is a stylish boutique hotel built in this round, literally landmark, building on the corner of HWY405 & Sunset Blvd.—a setting that allows for stunning 360° views of the area. The standard rooms are comfortable are decorated in new city modern style. The hotel team is accommodating (as of 2009). The cabana like bar outside is trendy and enjoyable. The parking is restricted to expensive valet.

Just off the I-405 Fwy in West LA, this mod renovated circular high-rise hotel is a good base camp if you have a car. It's nearby the Getty Center, and not too far of a drive from the beaches at Santa Monica. The rooms are in tip-top shape and noise wasn't a problem, although rates can be sky-high, especially on weekends. The top-floor bar has awesome night view panoramas.

I remember driving by here all the time when it used to be a Holiday Inn -- I never stepped inside then but now that Joie de Vivre took over, it's a great hotel.
I love when a hotel gives free wifi, it's the little things. It's definitely a strange layout with the circular building, but they lay out the rooms well, so you don't feel like your room is an odd shape at all. Great location near the Getty Center and UCLA, and just a short drive to Santa Monica.
Really comfy pillowtop mattresses and I loved the pillows (I even tried to figure out who made the pillows so I could buy some!).
Service at the front desk is great, everyone is super accommodating and if you stay at the hotel, your first car is free, valet only. They only have 2 elevators, so in the morning when everyone is checking out, there can be a little bit of a wait for the elevator, but that is the only minor thing I could think of that is not great about this place!

Hip stylish hotel on the westside. The room was very nice and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The lobby staff were attentive and friendly. There is a circular bar on the top floor with a great 360 view of west LA called West which was very good for brunch.Recommended for:Trendsters

We blocked rooms here for our wedding, and I've been here several times for dinner and drinks as well. I grew up driving past this hotel on the freeway several times a week (it used to be a Holiday Inn), and I was always fascinated by the round tower. Apparently the rooms ARE pie-shaped, but our guests weren't that bothered by the strange floor plan. The bar and restaurant are really good and have fantastic views. Our nieces said that everyone here treated them like princesses, and really, isn't that what a good hotel should always strive for?
