I was not impressed with this hotel. For $350 a night I expect the basic amenities plus a whole lot more. This hotel offered less than basic. First of all there was construction going on. We were on the 2nd floor and couldn't open our blinds because all that we could see was construction men working during the day...right outside our window literately. At night we still didn't have a view because the equipment. Yes they did start work promptly at 8am...as a tourist in New York we obviously stayed out late & expected to sleep in past 8am. Nope.
Bathroom smelled like mildew. Apparently the shower curtain doesn't get cleaned. There wasn't anywhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. We had a suite with 2 separate bedrooms. I expected a bigger bathroom.
Flies...ants...yes. Flies buzzing around the room.
The 1st day we had 3 bottled waters, a snack bag of pretzels & a chocolate bar. None of that was ever restocked.
They advertise room service. It's across the street a couple blocks down.
I would give this hotel a thumbs down for sure. Will not go back or recommend to anyone.

Turn off Broadway and enter the greenhouse-style atrium of Hotel Belleclaire. New renovations feature a coffee bar and luxurious lounge area suited for any New Yorker. Upstairs, guest rooms are spacious and feature free WiFi, flat screen TVs with cable, A/C, and a nice desk area to work at. The gym features new workout equipment, lively music, and windows-- a rarity in NYC hotel workout facilities. The media room is also a nice touch, with two videogame machines, a couch and flat screen TV, and three Apple computers as well as live Beta fish decorating the room. Overall, The Belleclaire boats a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of attractions and entertainment inside, but the concierge in front is more than happy to help you get out of the comfort and plan your day in the city!

I was drawn to this hotel because it had a lot of character. The architecture is beautiful. They recently renovated their lobby to make it bigger and to accommodate a coffee bar. Be quick about it though because they close at 11am on weekdays and noon on weekends. In the summer you’ll find that complimentary fruit-flavored water but again, be quick as those run out. They’re working on getting a liquor license so this may soon be a regular bar. Until then the staff doesn’t mind if you bring your own alcohol to enjoy in the seating area in the lobby.
I like the hardwood floors and was surprised by their amenities – a fitness gym, a media lounge and umbrellas. Some bathrooms have been renovated. Since there’s no restaurant at the hotel they offer breakfast vouchers to a nearby café – the café also provides light snacks that can be ordered by room service until 1am.
Guests can make use of the lobby to sit and have a drink with their friends or use the media lounge to use a computer, play an arcade game or video games. There is also a fitness room that guests can find treadmills and step-machines. There is a concierge available to take any special requests and they can help guests book tours and purchase broadway, sport or entertainment tickets. In the summertime there is refreshing drinks for guests to help themselves to.
There are 240 rooms in this hotel. Full, queen and king sized beds are available at this hotel. Guests will find a TV, safe, umbrella, hair dryer, a fridge, ipod dock (not compatible with iphone 5) and hardwood floors in the rooms. There are also ice and vending machines available. Room service is offered and light food such as bananas can be ordered.
The hotel is working on getting a liquor license so that they can have a full bar. Shuttle service is available with a surcharge.
