I was already sold on this hotel before I even walked in, thanks to the cool, chill cafe attached to it, shaded by some of the tall, beautiful old trees that line Ricardo de Lyon Street. And once I walked in, I was not disappointed. The rooms are a smidge small but recently renovated and carefully designed. Each room has an electric kettle for heating water. The hotel has an outside pool that is not heated - to cold to indulge in much of the year - and a small gym. But its friendly staff, attention to detail and new, comfortable aesthetic keep rooms filled.Recommended for:

One of the things that I liked most about this hotel was the service. Most of the staff at this hotel have worked there for many years and they openly talked about how much they enjoy their work. I also loved the green aspects of this hotel. There were lots of plants, indoors and outdoors. The reception area was particularly pretty and refreshing with two large trees growing one and either side of the stairs right up to the roof. I loved the pool-side area. It was very well-designed and very pretty, even during the winter with all the cold. I also learned that just last month this hotel was the first official boutique hotel to have passed through all the necessary steps to become boutique hotel in Chile. It was an exciting time to visit the hotel with all these updates.Recommended for:

Hotel Bonaparte is in a very quaint neighborhood in Santiago called Providencia. You will enjoy walking the tree-lined streets passing the stately homes. The area also has a lot of good restaurants if you like food as much as I do. Just talking about it makes me want to go back. If I were there I would certainly tour you around. I love showing people places that I love.

The Hotel Bonaparte will without any doubt charm you with its overall beautiful design, its luxurious rooms and spaces, and the friendly and helpful staff. This family owned boutique of a hotel is small enough to make sure that all of your needs are met from very good dining to high speed wifi and large enough to have free on sight parking. The residential neighborhood with large trees are great and still the metro station is but a 15 min walk a or a 5 min taxi ride away. The little eclectic cafe on the side of the hotel serves great coffee and the best muffins I've tried in South America. I could see myself staying here for and extended time and the longer the better.Recommended for:
