As George previously mentioned in his comment, this is a Grand of the Grands and definitely the best among the luxury hotels I have experienced in Vienna. The hotel has a great history and it was the first in town, back in 1892, to offer an elevator, private bathrooms and even electricity. The hotel has an historical link with the Vienna Opera house, which is just in front and can be admired from many rooms, as many performers and musicians have been sleeping here. So much that all the suites bring the names of Opera directors or singers like Enrico Caruso or Toscanini. The rooms are extremely charming with crackling wooden floor under luxurious carpets and antique furniture. A jump back in time to the auspicious days of the Imperial Austria.
