This hotel is a backpacker’s dream! It’s in a great location, it’s clean and well-kept, and it’s got character and charm in spades. The staff made me feel welcome as soon as I came in and even during my brief visit, there was a homey feeling that is hard to find in just about any lodgings, no matter the stars. Breakfast is included in the room price and they have free WiFi throughout the hotel. The décor is truly Moroccan, and the walls are lined with interesting art. The room had brightly painted walls and tile floors, with a very simple bathroom (no stall or curtain for the shower). No elevator, but the rooftop patio is worth the climb, with great views looking out over Casablanca towards the Mosque Hassan II. For an economic, old-Moroccan-school in a good location that is clean and has great service, this one takes the cake.

Wow what a hotel! This is the place to stay if you love old black and white movies, if you’re a romantic and if you’re a free spirited traveler! This is the real thing for me, the entire building inside and out is well kept, clean and with character. The whole style looks like it was preserved from the old days and with respect. ‘Old school’ looks at it and says’ Old school’ with thumbs up! Don’t get me wrong, it’s a hostel / hotel so there’s only breakfast, a room with bathroom and Wifi everywhere but the added touch is the roof top with chairs to hangout at that has a view of the port and thousands of roof tops with thousands of satellite dishes! It’s surreal but the it's reason for going to Casablanca!
